  1. Congrats to the Boone County, Conner, and Cooper young women who displayed outstanding sportsmanship during the all district team award ceremony after the game. Even after the heat of competition was over - these ladies embraced & congratulated one another for noteworthy performences in the 33rd distric tourney action. This transcended winning or losing - very classy & obvious to those watching post game awards. Well done girls
  2. Sydney gave the fans one for the ages last night- crossing any one who tried to guard her over & scoring at will & delivering pin point passes. The house would have come down if the behind the back pass was caught & executed for layup. Refs were not a factor with jenna- her fouls clearly were fouls. Moss has just clearly taken her game & intnesity to a whole new level & she clearly is the most talented & dominant player in the region - possibly the entire state. She seemingly has been improving every game for several weeks. Hats off to Ashley Cheeseman - that young woman is a baller - with a deadly shot that just plain looks textbook. Congratulations to all the Boone players & coaches - that was a thumping.
  3. Haven't seen the player from Owensboro Catholic, but Sydney could just be the best in the state. What a performance - another strong nite from both post players, a lightning fast point guard, and dead eye shooting from Browning & Shrout
  4. As i said earlier today - I just had the score wrong: Boone by 5. Has anyone noticed how cut Sydney Moss has become ? She is in the best physical shape of her career - with a dangerous combination of speed & power that is noticeably improving each & every game. Her passing has improved drastically. She is playing with intensity for the full 32 minutes. The post weapons of Moss & Nash were on display Tuesday night. If Ryle keys the post defensively, Browning & Shrout will exert their influence. Undoubtedly, this will be a hard fought, physical game - which in of itself, could get key players on both sides in foul trouble early - this just might be the difference - with a big crowd - we'll have to see how physical the ref's allow the game to be played. 5. Difference in the two top players is night & day. Wait til they start playing in college.

  7. Does anyone remember an Enquirer reporter named Marty Keogh that had a column for Northern Kentucky called "The Sports Keyhole by Marty Keogh"? Not since Marty's column disappeared has there been a better beat writer than Ryan Ernst covering NKY sports. As the evolution of newspapers like the Enquirer continues to evolve to on line subscriptions, we have been blessed to have this young man objectively & accurately report on the best things happening in NKY sports. There's a line in the song "They paved paradise & put up a parking lot" that says you don't know what you've got til it's gone. Well, I'm sure that will be the case with Ryan. On behalf of many NKY sports fans, thank you Ryan for your accurate & unbiased reporting of NKY sports these past ten years. There are literally thousands of your articles archived forever in the scrapbooks of so many past & present NKY athletes. Best of luck to you & your family. You will be sorely missed.
  8. Hey Tori - you are a scoring & rebounding machine. Congrats on this milestone. Are you up for playing on UK's club basketball team??
  9. Ryle is bonafide regional contender. Imagine if Sydney hadn't left Ryle- a bonafide #1 STATE contender
