  1. This would be a re-match of the 13/14 Kentucky State Sweet 16 Finals game which Cov Cath won in OT. That was a great, great game ! Two really good b-ball programs, both have great fan bases. It was the kind of game that makes one so glad Ky has a real high school championship! If anyone can get to Rupp for this game, you won’t be sorry! To say it’ll be a Dandy, is an understatement!
  2. Is Shelby playing ball in college? I noticed she nearly had a double double in the game, and 4 treys? Pretty nice game in a state tournament! While a win is always preferred, she did have a great game to end her HS career! Schwartz also deserves a thumbs up too, having a double double in the game. Again, a great accomplishment by Ryle pulling off the win in the state tourney sweet 16! Good luck tonight!
  3. Congrats Lady Raiders on winning the 9th Region, their first regional championship ! Good luck Thursday night! You have the ability to go far! Holmes has indeed enjoyed a great run with these past several 9th Region Tournaments ! I am sure they will be back! Congrats to those selected for the all tournament team and Lauren Schwartz as MVP. Today she had a double-double with 16 Pts , 18 rbs. 9th Region MVP - Schwartz - Ryle 9th region All-tourney team: Juliet Mcgregor - Ryle Maddie Scherr - Ryle Tyrah Englemon - Holmes Laila Johnson - Holmes Grace Perry - Dixie Caroline Buddinburg - Dixie Courtney Hurst - Conner Maddie Burcham - Conner Zoie Barth - Highlands Bailee Harney - HC Chisom Iloegbunam - St Henry Ryann Kramer - NCC
  4. Re-match of Regional finals 2 years ago when Ryle controlled the game whole way but let it slip away in last minute or so. Ryle with loads of talent, they have won last 13 straight games, but Holmes seems to be playing well. Should be a fun game to watch! Good luck to all!
  5. Ryle wins this one 71 to 44. That although Ryle's top score Lauren Schwartz saw limited minutes after an injury early in the game. Congrats Raides!
  6. Wow, Big zig! Define 'constant' . Or 'criticism' for that matter. Not sure what's your beef here. Just sensitive? Got to love coach Stamm's passion in his coaching! He will definitely have his hand full with this Ryle team. I think they are that good and are hitting their stride. But it is hard to beat a good team like Conner 3 times in a season. And yes they could end up meeting for a 4th. I say Ryle wins by 10. Good luck and good health to all the players tonight!
  7. Just to clarify, the lady Rebels won 8 games this season. But, ofcourse, no surprise the Ryle beat them tonight for 3rd time this season.
  8. Ryle now 4 - 0 in the tough 33rd district, beating the Lady Cougars for the 2nd time this season.
  9. Boyd Co. (7-3) -- Hu Reeves 12, C Shears 5, Ho Reeves 2, Wheeler 14, P Shears 10, Adkins 2. Simon Kenton (7-3) -- Jones 6, Stamper 5, Harmeyer 14, Niece 10, Harney 5, Gilliam 9, Meier 12, Bush 2, Buckner 3.
  10. Murray led by 5 or so at the half, but the underdog Raiders had a huge 3rd quarter and just kept going. Ryle with 5 players in double digits, The 2 freshmen Scherr and Douthit with 23 and 22. 4 of the Lady Tigers also reached double digits. Players were tough as nails on both teams. I assume young Ryle (5-6) will take on Butler (7-1) in the morning, and Manual (9-0) gets Sacred Heart (7-0) on the other side of the bracket of the final four. Good luck to all the teams playing!
  11. Ah ha! Plant man must be the PR / marketing guy for the girls tourney this year.....
  12. That does stink! Too bad you aren't in 9th region and could drive merely 10 miles over to Nku and just play Holmes. Or Ryle. That would make for a more relevant prediction poll for sure!
  13. This is unexpected! Tough for all A regional champs NCC and the lone senior, Davenport. Very happy for seniors Kylie Orr , Shaunye Stanley and Star Yeager! They have been playing together forever. They've worked hard and stuck it out since middle school as Ladycats! Congratulations to them and Newport HS!
