  1. That last sentence caught my attention. Cov Cath coach being removed. Did I miss something? Ruthsatz leaving?
  2. I need a couple for both sessions on Friday.
  3. I wish the kid the best. It stinks for him and his team. Even for us fans. I wish him the best. In my opinion it’s highly unlikely he plays. That picture of the team after the ninth region finals. He is on crushes and he is wrapped from above the knee to the groin. Pretty obvious hammy injury based on all the reports. Pro athletes with elite trainers and conditions don’t return from those types of muscle injuries in ten days. Very unfortunate but I would shocked to see him play at a level that could help his team while dealing with this injury. I hope I am wrong, but the optimism around him playing reminds of the Aaron Rodgers narrative that was floated all fall.
  4. I am not sure the best teams always make the playoffs at the pro level. Tampa made the playoffs at 9-8 this year. Same record as Seattle who didn’t make the playoffs. I am not sure of the 50 tie breakers for the NFL playoffs. Tampa was in for winning a crap division. Seattle was out due to a tougher division. We know the criteria for NCAA tournaments across several sports is determined by the ‘committee.’ I don’t love the sweet sixteen bracketing. I would like to see it split up over two weeks. Or moving to Monday/Tuesday opening rounds and Thursday/Friday/Saturday to finish it. But, in general spreading out the representation across the state is better for the sport, in my opinion. Sorry for high jacking the thread.
  5. It’s not perfect. I agree. Be careful what you ask for though. The state tournament could quickly turn into the Lexington/Louisville/NKY invitational.
  6. Camels will most definitely will have to play zone. The 2 bigs will be an issue for the Camels. Rebounding will be tough. Camels do play bigger than the lineup says. You won't rattle Campbell Co PG Garyn Jackson, who is a 3 year starter. What scares me the most is Camels best scorer is a 6'3'' post player. He does struggle some vs more athletic and taller kids. Conner Weinel is a strong kid, he can possibly get Starks and Turner in foul trouble. Very good with his back to the basket. Sorgenfrie can get hot, good 3pt shooter, who can also handle the ball. Nate Smith 3 yr starter, as athletic as anyone on the court. Strong kid who guards extremely well and can handle the ball. 5th starter Cole Johnson, plays bigger than his height. Has some hops. Not a bad ball handler. Kid has perfect ACT score and is a National Merit Scholar. I don't see the Camels coming out playing scared. They all can handle the ball. They get up early they could slow it down. They are well coached. Comes to x's and o's, advantage Camels. Camels have a chance either way if Kinney plays or not. Newport doesn't come out and try to outrun no one, their pace will keep any competitive team in the game. Newport will be the favorite regardless who suits up. Its March, crazy things happen. Camels 52 Newport 48
  7. If Higgins wants number one WR money, Bengals can’t afford him, in my opinion. I don’t think any organization can afford to pay two number one WRs. At some point, we should expect Burrow to make an average WR in the second spot, across from Chase {who I expect the Bengals to resign when the time comes), better. One other thing, personally I have no worries about Higgins playing next year or his effort. It’s too much money to leave on the table and I believe the Bengals retain the rights if he sits. I also think we as fans are over valuing him if we expect more than a 2nd round pick, along with a throw in late pick or special teamer.
  8. I think the Camels will get to an early lead. And will battle off a late rally from the Cardinals. Similar to the early matchup this season. But this time they hold on for the victory! Garyn Jackson is the difference maker. Cool and calm!
  9. Heart- Custard has 40 and carries the Thoroughbreds into the finals. Head- Mason Co with the home court advantage come out on fire. Make 10 or more 3's and win by 7-10 pts. I don't have a lot of faith in Harrison Co game planning and making adjustments.
  10. Sunday is the day worth making a trip for. Final 4 should be LLoyd vs Newport. Cooper vs CovCath. Won't find a better final four in the state.
  11. 1 Calloway Co 2 Lyon Co 3 Butler Co 4 Bowling Green 5 Adair Co 6 DeSales 7 St Xavier 8 North Oldham 9 Newport 10 George Rodgers Clark 11 Great Crossing 12 Danville Christian Academy 13 Harlan Co 14 Hazard 15 Pikeville 16 Ashland Blazer
  12. Football basically over for DFS purposes. I know I got my brains beat in my this league most of the year. Did anyone have any big wins in the bigger field events this season?
  13. I would consider commishing it, if someone else will be the treasurer and handle the money. Run it through yahoo. Head to head league. 8-man playoffs. 12-man ppr standard type scoring. $25 per team. All money goes to SB winner and runner up. Let the website run everything. Online draft with 90-second pick window. If we have trouble filling the league with BGP members we could recruit some friends. Biggest issue will be setting a draft time. Let’s talk again in June.
  14. Anyone have any interest in organizing BGP league next year? It’s a mile off but it’s something to think about next summer. Should be pretty easy to do an online draft. Pay through one of the cash apps. Keep it simple and cheap. Might be fun.
  15. Lost in the Semifinals for me, which meant no money! Otherwise it was a better season for me than the last couple.
