Every time I see a pack of Two Hearted Ale on the shelves, I start humming "Two Headed Boy" by Neutral Milk Hotel. Seriously....EVERY TIME.

And for some clarification on a what a "cooking eye" is on a stove...they're the round areas on the stove-top, what we would usually call the "burner" in this day and age. Old cast iron stoves would actually have a removable cover on the eyes, and the heat ring on the underside of the skillet would fit down neatly into place to keep the skillet from moving around and to prevent flames and ash from spitting up out of the stove into your kitchen. ...

I've done the buffing route on a newer skillet myself, and it worked out fine. I used a sanding flap wheel on a grinder, which accomplished the task REALLY quickly. In hindsight, though, I think it's probably really safer and just about as easy to just use an orbital palm sander and start off with some fairly aggressive grit sandpaper, and then work your way up in the fineness of sandpaper grit that you're using. That way you can be a little...

Let's keep this one on topic. wkyhollywood ...is this an all-star team voted on by coaches in the conference? Obviously there are quite a few of us who are unfamiliar with the conference, especially with this being their inaugural all-conferece team. Are there any schools in that conference other than Owensboro Catholic, Grayson County, Daviess County, McLean County, Hancock County, Muhlenberg County, Apollo, Owensboro, Ohio County, and...

Crazy to look at that list and realize how many of those guys made it to that list before there was ever such a thing as a 3-point arc.

Fair enough. I guess "general rule of thumb" would have been more appropriate for me to have said. I've heard straight from the mouth of more than one public school administrator that they post jobs for a month before conducting interviews. I suppose none of them ever told me that that rule was a mandate from Frankfort or from the KHSAA, but it would certainly seem to at very least be a general practice that's observed by more than one public...

Per the Pendleton County vs. Robertson County final score thread. This one deserves its own thread, for sure. That's a HUGE accomplishment! His 53 points last night put him over the 3,000 mark with 3,044 career points, and slid him in at #30 on the all-time career high point scorers in Kentucky.

I just have a feeling that Mike won't win it. I don't know why, but I just have that feeling. He has a REALLY solid intuition for the game though...he has since day 1. Alison and Kara have the potential to win, but I don't think that they've really made many big plays this season. They do have a lot of friends on the jury though, like GrantNKY said. Lol, Kara definitely won't be getting any vote in the end from Dan, though, just because she...

I've been thinking for a couple of weeks now that Christian was bound to be voted out. Nobody wants to be against him in the end, because he's too likeable and has played too good a game. He'd win without question. I think he basically had realized the same thing himself, and was getting at it when he was talking about how many votes he'd had against him in previous Tribal Councils, and how he was approaching the all-time high for number of...

My parents got us an Atari 2600 when they re-released it in 1986. Within a year or two we were asking for the original Nintendo because it was the newest best thing, so they officially said they were done giving us any video games. They relented a little and gave us a Game Boy when it came out for Christmas 1989 - I think that was more for their own benefit as a motivational tool to get us to finish our homework. The first one done with their...
