Let me clarify what I meant. I believe that the actual incident is dumb not the punishment. I agree with it hurtin them but I just think the overall incident was dumb to begin with. Hope it clears it up a little bit.

The story isn't reall that big it's actually quite dumb. I knew they were investigating when I was working there back in 2008 and 2009. Athletic dept knew something would happen just not the extent. I can't think of the players name but it involves a person who graduated from MSU that many didn't consider a "booster". I'd tell the story but I haven't talked with the people I worked for on campus to get the update on it all. If no one posts the story you can pm me and I'll give it to ya. Plus I don't have really any kind of sources on anything unless it deals with MSU then I'm pretty connected. It pays off to work on campus in high end departments when you're attending college.

I disagree with the comparison 100%. Hartline has had some success but always finds a away to stray away from it. IMO he lacks confidence in his own ability and is worried about throwing INT's and is not even wanting to take the chance. I agree with the other parts of Hartline you mentioned just disagree with the comparison.

I just wish Hartline wasn't so conservative. I like QB's who aren't afraid to try to make plays to help their team. IMO Hartline isn't a leader (usually the QB is) but I don't see UK having a leadership quality QB on the roster right now anyway. Hopefully UK can get a good passing game going this year to help them in the future in terms of recruiting.

Just never was sold on Hartline. I liked Newton coming into last season but he was to inconsistent and never showed what he could really do. He had a chance during the spring and summer to showcase his growth and potential but didn't. I disagree with all said. For starters Joker would bench a guy who has been loyal to the program. Your statement holds little validity IMO. Joker has stated numerous times that he is picking a QB who will WIN games not just manage them or "not lose" them either. If he feels Hartline is that guy then great, but he didn't choose Hartline because he'll manage games. And to answer your question yes he'll be on a very short leash, if he struggles against Louisville and has sub par performances against the lesser teams they face before Florida I believe we will have a switch when we play Florida, probably come after that game but I say do it before it.
