  1. Clyde, Did you feel that the officials made an impact one way or the other in this game? Or is it a case of us not being use to this type of a called game.
  2. TOG, I think your defensive star of the game is Jake behind the plate. Didn't he throw out 3 runners trying to steal? He would have had a 4th at second if not for the mixup on who was covering the play. Jake has come a long way behind the plate in one year. Keep up the great work Jake!
  3. CCR how did you manage to get Joe out of the stands and into the booth? Will be very entertaining, as always, to listen to the broadcast.
  4. How about Bill Vogt of NewCath and George Rudd of Boone. They both went on to play college ball although I believe Rudd left school after 1 semester at UK.
  5. Was that the game that LLoyd won in the final seconds where the reciever caught the ball and fell backwords into the endzone? I was a freshman walking with my Dad around the endzone when they scored. Made me sick. Looking back it was a great play.
  6. I seems that both teams have been shooting themselves in the foot lately with turnovers. As stated above, which teams show up? I like NewCath in a close one at home.
  7. That sounds right to me Ram. I probably never realized at the time, it was the first half of my nephews games.
  8. When the rule was first put in place the losing coach had to agree to the running clock. Does anyone know if this is still the case? By the way I am fully in favor of the running clock for the reasons prevously posted.
  9. Just had dinner with a friend that said Teegarden's family is moving to Ft. Mitchell and will be enrolling at Beechwood. Can anyone else confirm this?
  10. Hey shutitdown, if you are so anxious for a recap, how about providing all of us with your own. I am sure it will be just as thorough as TOG.
  11. My apologies to the man behind the plate. I was basing my statement on the reaction of Coach Krumps and the rest of the crowd. From my vantage point it looked like it went over the bag.
  12. TOG you forgot to mention the horrible foul ball call down the 3rd base line latter in the game. The ball clearly went over the bag in fair territory. He even raised his right hand to signal fair and then changed his mind as if he didn't know the rule. Besides the men in blue, I thought it was a good game played by both teams. Congrats to Conner and CovCath on great seasons and good luck in the districts.
  13. Did a little homework and found that of Beechwoods 20 wins only 4 were against teams with winning records. Those 4 wins were, 2 against NCC, 1 against Boone, and 1 against Carroll Co. Covcath had 12 of their 23 against teams with winning records. Each had 2 losses against teams with losing records. I only did these 2 schools because they are the ones being compared. I agree with Clyde that the 20 win seasons are over blown and should take a back seat to developing the rest of your team. I believe NCC and Holy Cross tend to do this more so than others.
