  1. Nope game was cancelled. Was told Harrison county made the call not to come.
  2. NEW SCHEDULE: http://sites.google.com/site/39thsports/fnb-classic
  3. Surgery went well today. He is still in ICU recovering at 3:00 today, surrounded by family and friends. Hope to be released from the hospital around Wednesday.
  4. Congrats to Coach Hinson and to Augusta. Way to plan for the future and see good talent.
  5. True that they cut his position as PE teacher. Offered him to stay on as head coach, but no one can survive with a family on that salary. Coach Hinson has some things in the works. Only time will tell.
  6. Well I think this is a great choice. Congrats!! to coach Persinger. Should of happened last year.
  7. 3:00 Russell vs. Augusta 4:45 Bracken vs. Harrison 6:00 St Pat vs. Fleming 8:15 Brossart vs. Lewis This is what we got. Because Augusta had most quarters lost. Fleming and Harrison tied with quarters won but Fleming won in head-to-head.
  8. Are you serious. Can handle a bad administrator but not a bad coach. Has everyone lost their minds on what SCHOOLS are there for. I believe they are there for education, not just for sports. Also, Polar Bears have had 36 winning seasons in the last 66 years. Only 1 in the last 8 years. The record for the last 8 years has been 70-142.
  9. Congrats to Coach Fite. His time spent at Bracken, while a challenge last season, was a wonderful experience. He has always been supportive of the people around him and it will be a tough loss for the Polar Bears after the past season. Whoever takes over will have some talent coming up and the Bears should be back in contention.
  10. Since these two teams haven't faced each other since January 26, 1979 it is hard to judge what will happen and how the game will end up. However, I will have to say that Augusta wins it, it will be a close one though, only by 7. Since the last time Augusta won a game at the Region was 1950 and in that year they beat Bracken in the first round of the district to go to the region as runners-up. History repeating?!?!
  11. Also know one lesson not learned. (Free Throw Shooting) Haha, had to do it Shooty, its a tournament day and a great day in Augusta.
  12. No better way to say it. This kid is good and will accomplish his goals no matter what his future turns out to be. Couldn't ask for more from him on the court, he gives it his all and then some. He will be missed next season.
  13. Bittersweet to watch the former team and alma mater go down to the new team. I am proud of the Bracken Boys this year and their season, they played hard and didn't give up. Coach Fite is one of the good ones. Coach Kelsch and the boys have been wonderful this season and I am glad to be a part of their program as well. Top notch bunch of students and staff, couldn't ask for a better ending to a great year.
  14. While the night was different than the usual match ups between these two team from my point of view I am proud at the support of the fans from both sides. The victory was bitter-sweet but the game was amazing and I wouldn't have had it any other way. The PINK night put on by the Bracken FBLA was great and you couldn't have asked for a better game to make it exciting. Thanks to all who made it a success and thanks to the teams (old and new) for making this one another great game for the record books.
