What about Neil Armstrong? He wasn't originally from Cincinnati, but I think he lived in the area for about 40 years until his death.

I'm not sure which one it should be, but I would suggest one of the early brewers that helped to establish Cincinnati at one time (I believe this is correct) as the largest producer of beer in the country.

You should do the Maid of the Mist tour. While the falls are certainly impressive from the top, you don't really get a full appreciation for the power that they contain until you see them from the bottom. For me it was certainly worth the wait in line and the cost which wasn't cheap but not terrible either. I can't offer anything other advice on Niagra as when I went it was just a detour on the way home from a few days in the Boston area....

I agree. In my opinion the only way staying in the draft makes sense is if his injury is really bad. Otherwise, I cannot see how another year at school if he would be healthy would not improve his draft status.

I have eaten at Lee Roy Selmon's restaurant, but don't think I've ever traveled on his expressway.

I looked in the linked article but it didn't mention the Selmon Expressway. I would like to know more about what it means to be a "controlled highway" How is it monitored and by whom? As far as driverless Uber and Lyft vehicles, I would think that this would be cost prohibitive for these companies. It doesn't seem to me that they pay their drivers enough to offset the cost of vehicle acquisition, maintenance, registration, insurance,...

I would love to see the US get a sports league with promotion / relegation. Every since I discovered that this is how European soccer leagues operate, I've thought it was a good idea. I would love to see MLB make all the minor league teams independent and give them a chance to move up. I think it would improve the product across the board. Owners would at least have to expand their payrolls enough to put a product on the field that would...

It's like you can read my thoughts. It pains me to not finish what is one my plate. Even when I know I'm full I have a compulsion to keep eating. I remember back in middle school this girl would always make fun of me for eating every little scrap of food from my plate. I guess it came from being made to clean my plate at home when I was little.

My cousin taught at this school up until moving to a new school this year. Her old room was in the same hall where the shooting occurred.

I've got a six pack among my cache of beers. I haven't got around to trying it yet.

This is mainly a Kentucky board. You should know that anything past Panama City is considered South Florida up here. I've driven twice to Key West, and twice more to Siesta Key. When I tell some people that they react like it might as well be Alaska.

It might not be necessary, but perhaps the NFL knows that a large percentage of their fans enjoy it. Several years ago, on a whim me a a few friends traveled out to Kansas City for a playoff game between the Chiefs and the Ravens. Towards the end of the National Anthem a B2 bomber from nearby Whiteman AFB buzzed over top of the stadium. It is still one of the coolest moments that I have had inside a stadium. The attached video is from a...

I'd didn't realize that veterans had given us the right to act however we wish in the workplace. I'll let my employer know and see how that goes.

When I was little one of my favorite songs was the Willie Nelson / Waylon Jennings duet "Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be Cowboys". However, the following lyrics was always confusing to me: "Mamas' don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys Don't let 'em pick guitars or drive them old trucks Let 'em be doctors and lawyers and such" I knew what a doctor did, and I knew what a lawyer did, just never could figure out what a...

I'm almost 44, and I enjoy a nice shower beer at the end of the work day. Especially on hot days when I've had to be up on roofs.

Irish Cat replied to a thread Shower Beers in BGP Break Room
I was in Minnesota working for two weeks last summer. Picked up a case of Spotted Cow in Wisconsin on the way. Found that those made real good shower beers. While that may answer the question posed in the opening post of this thread, I know that isn't much help since New Glarus doesn't distribute outside of Wisconsin.
