He has his own ice cream. He is famous! LOL As for your guy, by no means is he massively famous except in the niche circle which follows his genre. Much like many of the bands you follow and post about, they are not widely known. I don't follow rap or country, but tend to know who most of those artists are.

I see that in all of the airline magazines. No customer with me for this event. So I would have to get very creative. FYI, I'm going to Gen Com if anyone has ever heard of it. It is massively famous (if you are into games )

I have the option of doing a business dinner at Tavern on south. It looks tasty. Menu | Tavern on South Or I can join a couple co workers for something casual. Weber grill really has me intrigued. Good thing theguru is not going with me. He would rather have good neighbors that smoke rather than smell that charred cow. :lol2:

Trying to go to Indy Thursday night. Can't sniff any joint downtown under 4 bills! Forget about Dallas or Nashville being too expensive.

In unrelated news. Ribs have been in the oven for a couple of hours slow baking for later tonight when I put them on the grill. Mrs. picked up a pound of shrimp from Krogers (on sale--great price). I have a recipe I use to grill them that cannot be replicated in a restaurant. Portabellos and asparagus will be prepared as well. Hopefully the Mrs. will appreciate the effort and tip me well later this evening. :sssh:

I eat out more then the average person for sure. A lot of it is work related, a lot of it is because I enjoy good food and drink. A lot of that can't be replicated at home. The wife enjoys that someone else is cooking and cleaning up afterwards. I also eat fast food which is tyoically non tipping situations. Since I do experience a lot of different levels of service, I have a pretty good level of expectations for the server and staff. ...

No issues being polite to them, but if I don't perform on my job there are consequences. In this case, his consequence is less pay. For the record, the Mrs. works and gets tips. We are very generous tippers when service is good or great. I have never stiffed anyone, but I've given low double digit tips when service is horrible.

If he is constantly getting below minimum wage at his job, he should take a hard look in the mirror. Either the place he works for is not performing or he is not. Waiting at most places should earn over minimum wage, if not he should look into a minimum wage job. Plenty of those out there.

You reference serving as an unskilled profession. I beg to differ. There is a skill to the job and it should be rewarded as such. If they don't like their pay, get a different job.

Golf league concluded last night. Shot a net 29 and ended up winning $50 for winning my division. The worse golfer in the league won the hardware last night. Final evening format was the 4 winners thru tournament play going at it for low net. Every other week is match play with a point per hole. Tough for a big handicap not to throw out a huge number on a hole. All past league winners drink from the crystal cup that stays with the champ. I've...
