  1. This is sad but when it comes to the Bengals I am not surprised: Katie Blackburn, the Bengals’ executive vice president, recently revealed that negotiations for Chase’s contract extension “haven’t started” yet. This admission has stirred concerns among fans and pundits alike. In an era where strategic signings and player happiness dictate the trajectory of a team, delays in securing key players can have far-reaching implications. Blackburn’s comments, though cautious, hint at a complex negotiation landscape. The organization is keen on “studying up” and ensuring the best outcome for the team. Yet, the clock is ticking, and with each passing day, the anxiety mounts. It’s a scenario that Cincinnati avoid at all costs. The team’s reluctance to allow Chase to hit the open market is understandable. Yet, the strategy of waiting for market conditions to set the tone, particularly with Justin Jefferson’s pending deal with the Minnesota Vikings, is fraught with risks. I am afraid because of how Brown and the Bengals have operated before with pretty much every player beside Burrow. If they let him hit the open market at the end of next season (2025) they will no way match what he will get offered. If they wait and see or let the Jefferson deal go first they are probably going to have to play even more than if they just go on and do it now and lock him in into the future. imo They have almost $60 million in cap space. The team is currently scheduled to have more than $59.4 million in 2024 salary cap space, fourth most in the league, according to overthecap.com. They in my humble opinion need to get this done this offseason.
  2. MSU will now be looking for another head coach to replace Preston Spradlin who took the James Madison job today. The Eagles took off during the final four years of his tenure, winning at least 20 games in every season and making two NCAA Tournament appearances. He led Morehead State to a 26-9 record this season, with the Eagles earning a 14 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Spradlin, a two-time OVC Coach of the Year, is considered a rising star in the coaching ranks at just 37 years old.
  3. Preston Spradlin was announced earlier this afternoon as JMU’s next head coach. Spradlin comes to JMU after eight seasons as Morehead State’s head coach. The Eagles took off during the final four years of his tenure, winning at least 20 games in every season and making two NCAA Tournament appearances. He’ll replace Mark Byington who left JMU earlier this week to take the Vanderbilt job. JMU was 32-4 this season winning a tournament game over Wisconsin. He led Morehead State to a 26-9 record this season, with the Eagles earning a 14 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Spradlin, a two-time OVC Coach of the Year, is considered a rising star in the coaching ranks at just 37 years old.
  4. Final. Iowa State didn't shoot it well in the first half but battled back and then just collapsed down the stretch. The Big 12 only has Houston out of the 8 teams left. I may be totally wrong but I think Illinois can give UConn a game.
  5. Final a heck of a game. Alabama played very tough and physical and never back down from the Tar Heels even after trailing as much as 10. Plus it is always a good day when North Carolina goes down in defeat. With the defeat the ACC is now 9-2 that is still impressive.
  6. They would be perfect right now if the committee had not screwed up by putting Virigina in the tournament. lol
  7. Final from Boston. My goodness UConn continues to play unbelievable basketball. Going back to their 6 games in last years tournament and their 3 so far this year they have averaged margin of victory is almost 20 points per game.
  8. CLEMSON!! I hate Arizona ever since they beat my Cats in ‘97
  9. So much fun today watching somebody that knows how to PITCH instead of just throwing!!! Montas looked great, if he stays healthy I think he can win a lot of games!!!
  10. Final a big win for the Tigers and the ACC.
  11. Beach theme for last lift before spring break. These kids have had a great offseason thus far and are hungry for 2024. #WTN @coach_edtowle thanks for all your hard work! As always it's special to be a BRONCO! @fdouglassfb
  12. Great start for the Reds no matter what happens from here on we can definitely say that we at one time lead the division, had the best record in the National League, and the best record in all of baseball.🙂
  13. Heck of a start for Nick Martini who has 2 homers and has 5 RBI's. Elly is 0-2 with a walk and 2 K's. Also a good start for Frankie Montas who went 6 innings with 0 runs only 4 hits with 4 K's and 0 walks.
  14. I think he may be try to catch Curtis Turley from down in the western part of the state I believe he did the same thing in the latter half of his career.
  15. I wonder if any of his players from Charleston will transfer to Louisville. The had a nice guard I liked from Cincinnati Kobe Rodgers. I think he played his high school ball at St. Xavier of Cincinnati. They also had an athletic forward 6'9 James Scott he is just a freshman and 11 vs. Alabama in the tournament.
