  1. It seems funny to me that the people posting these comments are from Clark County. I've been following the MC program from Rison to Griesser to Wise and I don't know what talented kids Wise ran off. Basically the same team players this year that played for Griesser last year. SO PROUD of our team! You would be hard pressed to find more character and better sportsmanship from any other team in Kentucky and that's what matters in life. Congrats on a great season we're so proud of you all!
  2. Both teams have a snow day so it shouldn't be a factor. Game should be exciting. Montgomery by 8.
  3. Yes, 6 inches in Mt.Sterling and the road crews have already been clearing the subdivision roads. If Mason and Campbell can get here I would think they will still be on.
  4. Wore blue uniforms, were guest on the scoreboard, sat near the endzone, and were introduced first, as is customary for the visitors. Mason County fan is just trying to stir it up.
  5. Wow!! Congrats to Coach Hundley and the Woodford boys! Keep on moving on!
  6. Montgomery's starters sat more than usual in the first half due to 2 fouls being called on Prewitt, Fruth, and Handshoe. Our point guard only played about 6 minutes in the first half. That definitely affected the first half, but the Indians pushed through it and got their 21st win tonight. Combs stepped up big and had 8 points and 9 rebounds.
  7. Montgomery moves on to 9-1 in the region. Way to go Indians!
  8. Brandon Rash (Montgomery County) is having an outstanding career at Transy!
  9. Last game of the Joe B. Hall Classic started around 9:15 p.m. Exciting day of basketball! Montgomery started out slow, but rallied @halftime and shot 61% in the 2nd half. Prewitt 15, Handshoe 13, Fruth 12, Crisp 9, Kelly 8, Jones 2. Letcher County Central were led by Johnson with 17 and Stewart 14.
  10. Obviously Madison Central is terrific, but what chance does Montgomery County have in the 10th region? Montgomery County has an excellent chance to represent the 10th region in March! Their losses have only been to top 20 teams, they've had some very impressive wins (GRC, Marshall Co, Owen Co., Ashland, Male, Lafayette, etc.). They have a great group of guys with a lot of varsity experience; 5 guards who are all capable of scoring in double figures many nights (Prewitt-top, Fruth, Handshoe, Crisp, and Jones); athleticism; quickness; a very-experienced, cool, calm and collected point guard (Fruth, sr.), another experienced point guard (Crisp, soph.); all 5 guys can handle the ball under pressure. Defense is good, but still room for improvement. Down low, you have football player, Kelly or baseball player Combs who give the team another dimension. They played Central to within 10 pts. the first time; this time pulled within 3 in the 3rd quarter, but couldn't get over the hump. The difference was in single digits much of the game. Also of note, the Regional Tourn. is at Home this year! Exciting year for the Indians, they just need to play as a team so they can click on all cylinders.
  11. Agree w/ Plato's quote. Prewitt should be listed as #1in the region at this point in the season
  12. Good question. Production on the current season should have Bishop Brossart's Joe Jennings and Montgomery County's Brandon Fruth ahead of any player from Paris.
