  1. That is impressive but the thing that concerns me most is that Marion county played both Bell and Lone Oak. They lost to Bell 26-21. They lost to Lone Oak 45-28. Big "D" better be ready.Go Rebels!
  2. The correct spelling for the Boyle County running back is Rees MacShara
  3. regardless of his single game rushing record 336 yards would put him over 1900 yards for the season which would break the Boyle County Rebels single season rushing record of 1888 yards set by Matt Quinn in 2000
  4. I think Rees would be the first to tell you as he does in most of his post game interviews that his success is because of his offensive line.It was obvious in the first quarter of the game if the passing game isnt working and the defense can stack the line Rees cant do it alone
  5. Don't know where the info comes from, but after Rees ran for 334 yards and was LEX 18 player of the week they stated he was being recruited by Louisville and Cincinnati. Are they not D1 schools?
  6. Macshara had 260 yards of amazing runs against FC only 10 yards short of Boyle County's single game rushing record of 270 yards set by Ed Sleet in 1966.
  7. Wild card teams still have to be competitive. My point is because of the nature of the game it is not practical for it to be all inclusive.Playoffs should only include say the top two teams in a district or perhaps the top four teams in the region. There is nothing sadder than watching an 0-10 team getting blown out while the 6 or 8 fans "parents" who have an obligation to watch this disaster sit praying for it to end;except maybe a championship game ruined because one teams leading reciever or starting quarterback is on the sideline with an injury that occured during that game
  8. Perhaps we suggest to the NFL that the AFC and NFC champions have to beat the Cincinnati Bengals and the Detroit Lions in a playoff game before they go to the Super Bowl.
  9. Also football is a violent sport so why risk losing players to injuries in games that are meaningless.
  10. Rees Macshara had 226 yards rushing against Danville:dancingpa
  11. Rees Macshara-5'10" 165lb. Boyle County High School junior RB/DB Fridays game at Henry Clay he had 17 carries for 166 yds. and two touchdowns. On the defensive side he intercepted a pass on the Henry Clay 30 yard line and ran it down to the 9 yard line to set up anather score.Gets my vote for player of the week!
  12. In the 2008 4A football previews Rees Macshara was mentioned as Boyle Counties leading rusher with 523 yards and 7 touchdowns. What wasn't mentioned was that he accomplished those numbers in the last 3 or 4 games of the season. He broke his arm in the first game against Bowling Green and played with a cast at the safety position most of the year.Could be worth watching. gorebels
  13. The Rebels have enough talent at the offensive skilled positions to light up the scoreboard. If they can get a relatively small line ready to play they will be hard to handle
