  1. Obviously its too soon to know what players will play their part this season. But I believe that Lloyd Memorial will surprise people this year. They have had a strong conditioning program, and it will continue through the season. I have never seen the coaches so dedicated and striving too be physically fit, mentally ready, and to enhance players skills. With only one day down, it is easy to see that there is a big change in Lloyd's baseball program. And the team will be tough. They have the more dedicated players at Lloyd this year, then i have witnessed in the past four years.
  2. Today made my day. I was lucky enough to coach little kids through high school level. And seeing so much baseball within six hours was uplifting and left me wanting to get back out there. As soon as the 15th hits, game on, baseball six days a week and nothing better. Best day of the year.
  3. March 20th Lloyd vs Campbell @ Ccampbell.
  4. Today I helped out with a baseball academy camp and a kid came with an Reebok Vector and he said that he loved it and it was a great bat. I'm not sure but last time I checked it wasn't a very high priced bat. It is two piece with a new handle design, kinda odd. I myself stick with TPX one piece design, but as mentioned before it does end up being personal preference at a certain price. Which I had told a freshman at SK want to purchase his first -3 bat.
  5. I personally like the idea of a DH in high school ball because for pitchers who had pitched a previous day, or a better hitter not in the lineup for some reason can still contribute to the game. Also some players are weak at hitting and great fielders and vice versa. Which was an issue with players in my freshman year. In my case I am injured but will soon be cleared to bat. So a DH has its advantages and can help out with many day to day situations.
  6. Just wanted to see what some people thought about the 9th region this year?
  7. I very much disagree with the part of the pitcher being able to pitch in all three games. I as a pitcher of last year doing the same thing and ended up having laberal surgery during the summer. Some kids may get away with being able to pitch those games close together but most can't. I heard of many cases after my surgery that the same had happened to many kids. But this should be a coach decision to not put the same pitcher on the mound for the next game.
  8. There were many great games thrown by Lloyd pitchers last year. who will be returning for this up coming season. Patrick Thompson senior, will be back throwing low to mid 80s. Also two strong juniors Dylan McGuire and Jeremy Pittman. The Juggs did lose possibly the "ACE" of their staff yesterday (Jeremy Pittman) when he passed out during the National Anthem. He is perfectly fine and will be back out there on the mound next season. Does all his complete games and not throwing under 5 1/3 innings the entire season mean nothing? three one hitters against Cambell co., Dixie, and New Cath (in the regional game) was this not thought of in who the best pitchers are for NKY?N
  9. The boys from Erlanger put on a good showing in the games. In the Junior game Corey Moore ©, was 2-2 with 3 RBI, and 2 SB. In the Senior game Matt Gregory (CF) was 2-2 and scored the only run for the West.
