  1. What exactly does this mean? Get off the computer and work on the field? You sound like you know all the specifics about the staff at Hills. Please do tell.
  2. Time will tell my friend. I hope for his sake and Dunbars he can do things his way and not be forced to do what others think need to be done. I would love to tell you the coaches but I dont not know if their current schools know so it would be wrong of me to put their names out there.
  3. I am a graduate of Dunbar (class of 92') I played on the first team in the schools history and was a part of the schools first win. I was a part of the coahing staff from 96'-01'. I enjoyed a number of years of success during my time with Dunbar and have always been very proud to have been a part of the success Coach Meighan had built. I speak for a number of past players and coaches when I say this situation is sickning. I have listened to the debates over and over about this embarrasing situation and have come to several conclusions. 1st The coaches have little power over "their" program being forced to play who they are told when they are told to do so. Parents should NEVER run any sports programs because they are there for 1 reason "little Johnny". If you want to help fine and dandy but you have no decision making skills on the field. 2nd Administration is a laughing stock throughout the state. Coaches talk and let me tell you there are not very many who would really take the job once they find out they have no control. There are 3 very qualified coaches who applied this time around and did not even get an interview. Why? cause they want someone they can control. SAD!!
  4. Obviously someone who has never coached. You should spend the entire weekend breaking down film and the rest of the week putting in a game plan before you make a statement like this.
  5. Well when you have been running it up every chance you get its amazing how things change when the tides have turned. If it takes winning a JV game to make you feel better, then congradulations. What comes around goes around.
  6. They need to hire Don Miller at Western Hills. Miller was there as the defensive coordinator from 2001-2004. He had an opportunity to get the job twice but was turned down both times. All he has done is turn a program around while Dunbar has taken a nose dive. Its a shame. Miller is a good man and a great coach.
  7. Dylan Curry is a great all around football player and will be very successfull on the next level. He has an incredible work ethic and is extremely coachable. Although Curry has had a rough time as of late throwing the ball down field he still has thrown for over 800 yards this season and ran for over 600. This coming off a season where he threw for 1500 yards in 8 games. Henry Countys defense played extremely well last night but I wouldnt say they WH has sore jaws today. Western Hills did run the ball fairly well aside from a couple of fumbles. Lets see the game for what it was and that is a great battle between two evenly matched and well coached teams.
  8. More than 32 times? WOW!! You do know he plays the entire game on defense as well?
  9. Dunbar has managed to run every person associated with the program away by completely ignoring them. There are no former players on the coaching staff and those who have tried to return are ignored. There is a large number of alumni that are upset with the treatment they have received and have decided to turn their backs. Its ashame that a program built on solid foundation by Mike Meighan has gotten to this point. It is actually embarrassing and frustrating for those who spent a better part of 10 years working their tails off to see things come to this. I wish Dunbar nothing but the best and always hope they will win but until they embrace their past their future will remain the same.
  10. You would be thinking about Mark Peach. He was the head coach of Campbellsville University not high school, after leaving Dunbar.
  11. Absolutely False. He did not step on the player at all.
  12. The principal and the athletic director set these requirements. There are very few jobs to be had at Dunbar as well.
