  1. A kid to watch is Cody Hurley. A sophomore this year. He had to sit out because of transferring from Williamstown to Grant County. At Williamstown he played varsity as a 7th grader and has started varsity 8th and 9th grade. He pitches and plays 3rd, 1st and catches. Also has played every other position at one time or another. As a Freshman batting avg. of .415, on base % of .623, slugging % of .472. On the mound he had 45 K's in 43 innings.
  2. Does anyone know if there is any such thing as a release that the sending school can sign. I have been told by a former AD that there was but when I approached the current AD at the sending school he said he had never heard of such a thing.
  3. Cody Hurley and Issac Alger from Williamstown. Both started Varsity last year as 8th graders. Both are starting pitchers and play multiple positions at the varsity level. Both are hitting around the .400 mark.
  4. Williamstown has a very young team. Hasn't shown in the record but has been in every game this year. This team starts 4 freshman on the varsity squad. Cody Hurley and Issac Alger both are starting pitchers and play several positions. Both are hitting around .400 and over .600 on base %.
  5. I know that this was brought up a while back, but now that there have been several games played any thoughts on some of the top freshman throughout NKY.
  6. I was at the game, terrible umping both ways. You had the play at home against Dayton and also had a horrific call against Williamstown in the last inning. Home half of the last inning, bases loaded, 1 out, 2 strikes on the batter. High and tight fastball, the batter goes to his backside to avoid being hit and swings as he falls. The ump calls a ball...... he says that the batter was making no attempt to hit the ball.....but he swung. The next pitch was a slow roller to 3rd to win the game for Dayton. As far as the DH goes Dayton was trying to use a 10th batter not a DH.
  7. Pendleton Co. @ Williamstown March 19th 5:00pm.
