Had my worst experience with Waze last week while on vacation. Coming back from Michigan's UP, we decided to come down the west side of the state along Lake Michigan. Had never been over there before, and there were several places that we had heard about before, but had never gone to. We make it to Traverse City, eat lunch there, then head to the Sleeping Bear National Shoreline. There are some huge sand dunes there. Waze ended up leading...

Sorry, I just don't see it that way. So, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this. Really the one area where I see the pros having a huge advantage over the guys that I'm thinking of, is bunker play. Nobody I knows goes out and practices it the same way the pros do. How much would this come into play? Depends on the course. But, other than that, I like having four chances at the ball.

Well, if you're forcing us to assemble a foursome with an A,B,C and D level player...then, yeah. But, if we're allowed to put four guys of any skill level on the team, you can bet your behind I (and everyone else here) am going with four A-level players. So, no...I don't think there's going to be the glaring weaknesses in each individual's game the way it would be in a normal scramble.

Once again, I'll agree with you that it may be a different game. The holes may be longer, the fairways narrower, the rough thicker, and the greens quicker. And yes, it does humble many of the pros. I just think the odds are in the foursome's favor. They don't ALL have to hit a good drive...just 1 of them. Same thing with the approach shots, and the putts. I put my Steady Eddie up front, and let him put the ball in play, even if it's short...

BigV, I'm curious as to exactly where you thing the foursomes are going to be losing the strokes. Do you think 1 out of 4 can't hit the fairway off the tee? If they do find the rough, do you think 1 out of 4 can't hit it out of there? Do you think 1 out of 4 can't get their ball to stick on the green? Or, do you think 1 out of 4 can't make a put? I can understand where you're coming from if it was simply Joe Golfer vs. the PGA. It...

Well, only having played once in the past decade or so, I suck, so our foursome would be handicapped out of the gate. However, for the rest of you, I think if you've got legitimate single digit handicap golfers in your group (even if it's based on public courses), I think you're selling yourself short if you don't think you'd at least compete. I know that everyone's talking about the greens and how much more difficult they'd be. But, if...

It's difficult to judge actors/actresses sometimes, because of the roles that they play, but there's been several times that I've thought Charlize Theron was absolutely stunning.

I love AJ Green...but, no way can he be #1 in my book. When people talk about all-time greats in the history of the NFL, Munoz is always there for tackle. A guy with 5 years in the league can't surpass that.

Curtis, Joiner and Collinsworth were the first 3 to come to my mind. Brown, TJ and Pickens get my next 3 spots if I was building a team (which is how I voted). But, for stats alone, I can see Chad getting the nod over them.

AL strikes first, with a double and a bloop in the top of the 5th, now lead 1-0. Cozart to lead off the bottom of the inning.

Midsummer classic in Miami tonight. Some big stars, as you'd expect, on both sides. I think there's going to be two games going on tonight. One is the obvious NL vs. AL. The other is the NL pitchers against Aaron Judge. Will be interesting to see how both play out.

I listened to him a lot as well. It's just that the schtick got old. It was good for calling a game, or doing highlights. But for a HR derby...no way. Besides, a lot of them are no doubters as soon as the guys hit them. I thought Ravi did a good job of honoring him last night, with a call during one of the latter rounds.

Agree. However, I'd go back to the 3 min. rounds like they had in Cincinnati a couple of years ago. I think that extra minute in the earlier rounds really shows up in the finals.

Yes. Probably a move to give the "star" players an extra day off since they've had to travel and play in another game.

Went to Chicago last year and had Waze on. At one point in time it had us get off the interstate, seemingly waaaaay too early. Made a left, then a right, then another left and so on. Ended up going through this small town. My wife and I are both looking at each other thinking this thing is broke. Two minutes later we're on a road that's running parallel to the interstate. We're booking it down the road at 55, while they're sitting in a...

I think more than anything it was move done more due to the mental side, as opposed to the physical. I think Price wanted to get him out of there with the lead, and with the ability to pick up the W. Should give him some major confidence going forward.
