nWo , Any appreciable wind associated with Tuesday's forecast? I know it's going to be cold, but didn't know if we'd have the wind chill like we had a week or so ago.

That would rank right up there with the theory that Roosevelt knew the Japanese were going to bomb Pearl Harbor, and let it happen, knowing it would give him a valid reason for joining WWII.

At first blush, you have to like the hire. But, this will be a case study of whether the players made the coach, or the coach made the players.

I think the biggest question you're going to have to ask yourself NamecipS , is where you think you'll use it the most, and how close you're going to be to it. The larger capacity you get, the louder they're likely to be. If it's sitting out back of your house during an outage, the noise is negligible compared to what you get. Same for a construction site. But, you put that same unit next to your vehicle tailgating or beside your tent while...

Here's one to consider... Amazon.com : WEN 562i Super Quiet 2-Watt Portable Inverter Generator, CARB Compliant : Garden & Outdoor It doesn't have wheels, but weighs just 48 pounds, so still easily transportable. And at 51 dB is a whole lot quieter than the Harbor Freight's 76 dB. In a campground, at night, that's huge. Just my 2-cents.

Then unless you're planning on using this as a home backup unit, I think it's a bit of overkill. You could probably get by with a smaller 3000 watt, or even a 2000 watt, inverter generator. Which means you could do one of two things...get it much, much cheaper, or...get a more reputable name brand.

The biggest question about using it for camping is, will it be used to power an air conditioner?

The whole athletic complex was screwed up from the beginning when they moved out there. Heck even the gym seating had to be redone after the first year when they realized the sight-lines were horrible up stairs. The fancy seat backs had to be taken out of the lower level just to be able to put more people downstairs. All because somebody thought it'd be "cool" to have 10' ceilings in the locker room? And the "press box" was anything but...

Sounds like he just wanted to go back to the Mets. I believe I remember him saying something shortly after he was traded, that he'd be open to the possibility of returning.

The best comparison to make is Ryle. They started right around when Grant County did, give or take a year or two. But, all of those kids that came thru there at that time had the benefit of the Boone County feeder system. I remember talking to Coach Lovell one time, and he told me "while other coaches are using varsity practice time to go over plays, we're having to use it to teach kids how to tackle". Hard to win when you're faced with...

I think Gallatin County did quite well, considering their size, in both boys and girls basketball under Dot Perkins and Jon Jones. Did they dominate every year? No. There were some average groups, some good groups, and every now and then, they'd have a great group. But, just like Grant County, being in the 8th meant facing the "big boys" of Oldham, Shelby and Scott County once you got into the regional tourney. Tough for a little school to...

I've known of some instances where it was left up to the visiting team to decide whether or not the game got played. Taking a personal car/truck on snow covered roads might be doable...but, a full-size bus, in the dark, on somewhat foreign roads, is a different story. The home school would give an update on how things were locally, and then deferred to the visiting school on whether or not they wanted to make the trip.

The email announcing it is dated today, and while the article in the original post is dated today, it refers to the refuting email being sent Tuesday night. Is it possible the thing just wasn't finalized until sometime today?

A combination of Verlander, Keuchel, Peacock, Morton, McCullers and now Cole makes for a potentially formidable rotation.

nWo am I looking at that bottom map correctly? Looks like we'll go from rain, to freezing rain, to sleet, and finally to snow, all in a matter of 24 hours or so? (Looking at NKY, specifically.)

New Orleans advances to play the Vikings next week. Was kind of like watching an Ohio State game. Former Buckeyes with big games in this one...Ted Ginn Jr. and Michael Thomas on the receiving end...Marshawn Lattimore and Vonn Bell on defense.

Jose Calderon is averaging about 18 minutes a game. During that time he's averaging 3 shots...three! There is absolutely ZERO pressure on the guy defending him...which allows for one of two things to happen for his opponent. One, he can take a vacation at that end of the court, and save his energy for the offensive end...or, two, he can sag back and overplay on the double teams and switches. Like I said before, when Calderon is on the court,...

Same here. The thing that he brings is a legitimate scorer for when LeBron's getting a breather on the bench. How Jose Calderon is getting paid for being out there right now I just don't understand. Might as well be playing 4 on 5.

I have never bet a dime on a game in my life, so pardon what will be a completely ignorant question. Let's say you are one of the first to place a bet when the "line" is something like 7.5 points. You take the underdog and the points. By the time the game rolls around, the line is 4.5 points. Game ends up being a 6 point difference, with the favorite winning. Do you end up winning, because you got a different line than those who placed...

You're not alone. Taking the 10 conference champions and 6 at-large, would eliminate the majority of "which conference is better" or "whose schedule is better" crap that's decided off the field. I mean, if someone had decided at the beginning of the year that UCF was going to have a heck of team, and ranked them #1 to start the year...are you telling me they would've fallen out of the top 4 going undefeated? Heck no. There should be one...
