I swear I saw an interview with him where he specifically said he wasn't going to change his pitching style to avoid the walks. WTH?!? I understand you don't want to just groove 90mph down the middle, thigh-high all the time...but, come on. I just don't understand.

Stephenson gone after just 1 2/3 innings. Only gave up 2 hits...but walked 4.

Stephenson just threw a four pitch walk to the opposing pitcher. An American League pitcher. Who never bats. Four pitches. Unbelievable.

Okay, let's see...I joined in February of 2008, and it's now August 2018...so, about 10 1/2 years. :lol2: Had honestly not even thought about it, until you mentioned it. By the way, you're still McPapa when I see it. Too much ingrained into my brain before I found out it was actually supposed to be M-C Papa. Sorry...can't help myself. Sort of like an old dog and new tricks. :lol2:

When I first moved here, I was told there's only 2 seasons in Kentucky...basketball season, and the season leading up to basketball season.

Well, you can tell I'm not a born-and-raised Kentuckian...I can't believe there's discussion about college basketball, when the college football and NFL seasons haven't even started yet. Basketball...we're talking about basketball here...in August!

There was a time yesterday when you had Koepka, Woods, Fowler, Speith, Day and Thomas all within 4 shots of each other. (And I think DJ was just 2 or 3 back from that). Usually you only have a couple in contention, but to have all of them...THAT was great golf.

What a weekend! Tiger shoots a 64 on Sunday, but is going to come up just a bit short. Driver completely let him down, yet he still made a run. Koepka doing what Tiger did 15 or so years ago, just out driving everyone.

The Ohio team (from New Albany) got crushed by the team from Indiana (also from New Albany) 8-0. Indiana now plays Michigan, I believe.

Well, Bob from Jack's Glass was here exactly on time, and within 90 minutes had everything replaced and cleaned. (He probably could've done it faster, if I hadn't been talking to him. :lol2: ) Was professional, courteous and very thorough. Can't speak as to the rest of their installers, but wouldn't hesitate for an instant having this guy work on any of my vehicles.

Mine, too, have taken just 10 minutes on the phone, to save $275. That works out to $1,650 an hour! Heck, I wish I worked at a job where I got paid more than that, so that writing a check was simpler than talking to someone on the phone for a few minutes.

For what it's worth...we only have liability insurance on that truck (it's 16 years old...210,000+ miles). If it had happened to any of the other two vehicles, which we do have full coverage on, then I definitely would've turned it into insurance. Have had to replace two other windshields over the past 20 years or so, and have never noticed an increase in rates due to those two instances. As to the cost...it's going to be $275 for Jack's to...

Good to know that last outing by Homer was just a fluke. Everything has returned to normal...11 hits, five runs...in 3 1/3 innings.

:lol2: He's the boys basketball coach at Owen County. Adam Duvall is obviously who I was thinking of. But, I'm beginning to think Devin might also be able to make better throws than what the Reds have trotted out there the past week or two. :lol2:

What Reds miss in Devin Duvall, is his defense. Here in the 2nd game tonight, Preston Tucker has thrown to an unmanned base, and also air-mailed a cut off man on a throw home. Yes, the backup was able to get it, but still... Between what Ervin and he have done out there, good grief.

Was doing the 127 yard sale the past two days. I noticed when I left work on Thursday, that gas in Dry Ridge was $2.95. It was a little lower in Crittenden ($2.89), so I got it there yesterday morning. Owenton looked to be about the same. However, when we made it up to the Speedway between Union and Florence, I was shocked to see it at $2.62. Thought maybe there had been a price drop during the day. But when I got back to the Crittenden...

Was in there only once, and it was pretty much a ghost town. Now, granted, it was in the middle of the afternoon. Went to one while we were up in the Niagara Falls area this summer for breakfast, and the place was P-A-C-K-E-D! I will give them credit, they were very, very efficient. Moved people in and out quickly. The guy making the breakfast sandwiches reminded me of the Domino's box folding guy from the commercial...no wasted movement,...

Why is it that when you have a guy who can help you convert on 3rd and long...when the other team is 95% sure you're going to pass...that same player isn't more a part of your 1st and 2nd down packages...when the defense is uncertain as to pass/play.

Missed a cutoff again today. Overthrew second base and the ball went all the way to the dugout screen. Allowed a run to score.

I'm not a Homer fan, but he pitched his butt off tonight. 8 innings, 3 hits, 2 runs, 6 K's and 1 BB...and takes the loss. And it's interesting to see the lack of comments on Ervin's running mistake tonight. If Votto had done that, there'd be multiple posts within seconds of it happening. Just sayin'.

Man vs. Food made a return trip to Cincinnati with the new "host", Casey Webb. It airs tonight at 9 on Travel Channel. They made stops at Blue Ash Chili, Roc-A-Fellas Pizza and Arnold's. I really enjoyed the ones with Adam Richmond in them, but can't take this new guy seriously. I mean, when I see him hawking motor oil and kitty litter too...come on. Is he a host or an actor?

Many, many years ago I would meet up with a former co-worker each fall around my birthday, and for a couple of years we'd play a round at Sugar Bay in Warsaw. The course itself was okay, but the leaves. Good Lord, I can't tell you how many balls we lost that were hit down the middle of the fairway that we couldn't find! The leaves were the size of catcher's mitts and everywhere. Buying a round and a cart should've come with a leaf blower. I...
