  1. Just visited there and we did a zip line tour with http://www.climbworkscanopy.com/ It was AWESOME. There are a few other ones down there where you have to slow yourself down with your hand. I think you wear a glove and reach up and grab the line to slow your speed. However with this one, you just enjoy the ride and you don't have to "brake" yourself on the line. It took about 2 hours (9 zip lines, 3 bridges and a suprise ending) and man was it fun!! I highly recommend it!!
  2. If I create an account, will you hit me on my tweets?
  3. I'm sure there will be serious disagreement with this, but I thought Remember The Titans was a terrible movie. The story itself is fine. It's the football action I had a big problem with. People don't get clotheslined in high school football. People don't routinely get hit so hard their helmet flies 10 yards in high school football. The far-fetchedness (probably not a word) of the football action totally ruined the movie for me.
  4. I must say that 63 lbs is pretty amazing if you're not adding in any physical activity with that. I've cut my calories, cut out pretty much all soft drinks (if I drink any it's usually caffine free diet coke), I'm doing HIIT about 5 times a week for an hour a day and I'm down 32 lbs since Jan 4.
  5. Does anyone have a link to the boys and girls schedule? Thanks.
  6. Officiating is work. Officiating is a job. I go to my job each day to learn, and to get better at what I do to advance my career. I don't agree with your statement that officials shouldn't be out there to better their officiating career. On the contrary, the officials who want to advance their career into the college ranks and beyond, are probably the better officials because they're working hard to be consistent and get noticed by coaches and assignors to improve their rating at the regional level. They go to offseason camps and clinics just like players do to get better. That said, would you rather have an official out there working hard to call a consistent game who wants to improve as an official every game he works? Or, would you rather have an official on the floor who isn't at all interested in advancing their career who's just out there for the paycheck? I know which one I would pick.
  7. I can't speak for college officials, but high school officials are taught not to worry about the ball. If the official calls a foul, he doesn't want to go report the foul w/ the ball in his hand. Plus the ball will be put in play at the spot that official just left. So if he/she calls a foul and the player tosses them the ball, you'll see them drop it. In addition to that, it's not the officials' job to chase the ball when it kicks away somewhere. They usually ask the players to help them out and go get it. I agree 100% it looks bad when the player just puts the ball on the floor. I've seen that happen for instance when a kid gets called for travelling, lays the ball on the court and walks away. I think that's very disrespectful.
