  1. There are a lot of great players this season in Kentucky which is awesome for our state. Is A.J. Mayer the best? Also because Coach Eviston has tremendous class with opponents and respects the score, it seems AJ has only really played 16 quarters out of a possible 24. Does this make a difference? What are his stats? I believe this young man is as good as it gets in Kentucky, so what do others think and who is in contention?
  2. Lee Teegarden is a very bright coach. What he was able to do with the Pendleton County football program was outstanding. I was able to watch them play, and their guys played as hard as I have witnessed young men go at it. The last season at Pendleton County, I believe out of their seven wins, they were behind at half four out of the seven wins and two or three of those seven wins were in overtime. They were beating teams that were much more talented. Very impressed the way the Bishop Brossart administration has handled the hiring of their next coach and Lee will be an outstanding fit within their philosophy. Congratulations to Lee and the Bishop Brossart football program!
  3. I am sure Trinity's back-up qb has never been in a game.
  4. Before any Division 1 school signs a high school quarterback, they will have certainly seen film on him in competition or been to a game. That is the one position they cannot get wrong. They may offer at a camp but that offer only holds up if they perform at a high level on friday night which most likely they have already seen.
  5. Great job Dad! We will see who ends up being the best. I know for certain, not many young men are going to out work, out study, out film-study or out lift Tanner Morgan.
  6. You are not very educated on recruiting. Do you really believe they are going to offer a kid based on what he does out of pads? Ask any college coach that recruits, and they will tell you their performance on friday nights is the number one factor. All of the Division 1 schools that offered Conner Hempel were in attendance at one of his high school football games and evaluated film extensively while he competed on the football field. Camps do help but a lot of guys can throw well in a non-contact situation. In Ryle's offense in three years, he probably threw for 35 td's and ran for 20. Whether you believe he should have thrown for more or not, those plays he made on Friday nights determined his scholarship offer from those schools. Vanderbilt was extremely close in offering, as well, and they were in attendance also at one of his games.
  7. 2010 was the last year of a two year contract. That was the last year Ryle and Highlands played two times per year. 2011/2012 was the next two year contract. Now teams will mostly sign two year contracts for 2013/2014.
  8. It was good enough to showcase for Conner Hempel who received four full Division 1 scholarship offers- (Miami, OH, Western Kentucky, Toledo, and Bowling Green University) before choosing Harvard where he is competing for playing time as a true sophomore. Tanner Morgan breathes Ryle Raider Football and he will be showcased well. He will have a number of good receivers compared to what Conner Hempel was able to work with. Not that they weren't good football players but the starting two receivers for Ryle when Conner was a senior were both 5'7" and 5'5". Tanner will be working with four to five players all over 6'1". Tanner Morgan's brother was a captain for the football team this past season at offensive guard- he breathes Ryle Football as well. Actually, the whole family does.
  9. Please give me evidence where Warner said his goal was to build a nationally recognized program after that victory. I believe he knows the area pretty well. With Cooper just being built down the road in 2008 and probably another being built in the near future again in Boone County, I seriously doubt that was stated. However, Ryle has sent players to some big colleges in the ten years he has been there. Was there any big time college players prior to 2003? Maybe that is how he wants the program to be recognized so his players can get exposure and recruitment when they have talent. What I have heard him say is that there was not a college program that came to recruit the players his first couple of years, so it appears his goal of being a nationally recruitable Kentucky high school has been accomplished. Just ask Notre Dame, Navy, Marshall, Harvard, Western Kentucky, Army, Georgetown College, Morehead State, as well as several smaller schools that have landed the Ryle Raiders. I believe they like his players, as well as, the large and small schools that lost out in recruitment.
  10. The Raiders beat Boone County in 2005 at Ryle. You may have meant 2006.
  11. In 2005, Ryle played Fern Creek in the first round of the play-offs and lost a great game. I can check again but I am pretty sure the district championships were determined the seasons of 2006 and 2007 by the play-offs. I believe Ryle even has a banner in the gym stating the 2006 district championship, as well as the 2010 district championship. I would think you would know since you seem to be a big supporter. Please correct me if I am wrong.
  12. You are truly something. The Ryle players will play as hard as they can so we will see what happens. However, your hatred towards Ryle is embarrassing.
  13. It is hard to imagine Cooper taking over as a king of Boone County Football. Ryle's jv beat them 40 - 0. Ryle's freshman beat them in two games a combined score of 61 - 12. However, Cooper has done a great job of building a nice football program and Ryle looks forward to opening the 2013 against them again in week 0.
  14. Check the trophy cabinet in Ryle's school. That year the play-offs determined who was a district champion because they played each other in the first two rounds.
  15.
