  1. I hope Matt does well. 94 will definitely get him looked at but drafted top 5 rounds I am not sure. I think I was hearing the same thing about Litteral last year.
  2. I apologize before I say this but that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I am not sure there is any sport that requires more precision than baseball.
  3. I just finished reading a book written by John Wooden. Coach Wooden frequently ran basketball drills without the ball. He insisted that this improved foot work and technique. Since Coach Wooden did win 10 National Championships I think we should give some credence to his practice habits.
  4. The team name is actually Kentucky Baseball Club. They are considered one of the top 2 or 3 teams in Ky year in and year out. They have a 16,17,18 yo group. They do occasionally play on Uk's field but typically as a participant in tournaments hosting other teams as well/
  5. Bethlehem wins this one and the reason is Coach Koontz, the offensive line, and playing at Lally Field. This year Bethlehem will remember to get the ball in the hands of their big playmakers. Jordan Cooper will touch the ball.
  6. Yea that can be said both way though because the only way Fort Knox went ahead was because of a freak play where town Bethlehem players made excellent plays on a passed ball tipped it and it was caught by a receiver that was not intended for the past. Both teams had fortunate plays that helped them but I think the better team probably won the game.
  7. Tough to tell where either of these teams are just yet. Fort Knox obviously better than last year and Bethlehem not quite as good yet. This game was a 50-0 blowout last year at Knox and Knox lost their best running back to John Hardin. Bethlehem's line is much improved and it looks like Jordan Copper may be able to step up and fill Robinson's shoes as a playmaker. I will be interested to see if Owens can move the ball as effectively in the running back position as he did last year running from QB. Fort Knox on the other hand looked like they had improved athletically. Bigger than last year and faster. Kids from Fort Knox showed a lot of heart but what else would you expect from players whose parents are out defending the country so we can play football on Friday nights. I will be rooting for Fort Knox the rest of year but I think they will have a tough time getting to .500 mark.
  8. Look for some Bethlehem HS to be a suprise team. Although they lost some very good skilled position players in Casey Robinson and Luke Wimpsett they return the majority of their offensive and defensive lines. Additionally a change on the top of the coaching staff with the departure of Torzenski and Ron Koontz from Bardstown HS being named as head coach will pay big dividends. Steve Hart has also been asked out of retirement to help run the offense. I expect this team to have a very good year.

  11. Louisville Baseball Club has game scheduled with this team and I am looking for a contact.
  12. Add Casey Robinson's stats to these two and remember these 3 guys were the 1,2,3 hitters for the Central Ky Comets. PA 53 AB 39 H 21 R 21 RBi 21 HR 4 Ave .538 Slg .974 OBP .679
  13. Justin Hageman Brandon Alphin Cole Sturgon John Fidanza Corey Littrell Trevor Gott There are a few other nice players that could make some noise, but one of these Players should win it. There is a reason why they are all going to Top D-1 Programs..
  14. Eagles should get better as season progresses. They certainly have had there share of challenges. As you said they lost 7 starters 2 of which are playing college baseball. The lost there top 3 pitchers and they don't have a home field to practice on this year. If they can make it through their early season adversity they may be a pretty good team by end of the year.
  15. Robinson also hit a monster homerun in the final scrimmage against Campbellsville.
