  1. Beechwood does have to play because Bishop Brossart is in their district. It's required.
  2. Beechwood wanted to get one more touchdown with their starters so they wouldn't have to play the second half. Also, Dayton had constant late hits and cheapshots which were unsportsmanlike (many of which were not called) , so don't accuse Beechwood of being unsportsmanlike when they wanted to score when they were on the one yardline.
  3. Look out two or three years from now for the varsity to be stacked.
  4. 40 - 0 at half-time. Second team remainder of game. Then Dayton might score, but I think our subs will score a couple of times if the coach allows it. Depends on how soon he puts the 3rd team in.
  5. Actually Lloyd didn't force all but one fumble. They were misques between the QB and running back. Take away the touchdown pass that was obviously out of bounds and it is fourteen to nothing. Because Lloyd had a quarterback that really worked his butt off and scrambled a bit because the pocket collapsed in less than two seconds, Lloyd was able to actually gain some yards. I would like to see the total yards on offense if anyone has it. I am sure that Lloyd didn't have much. The bottom line is that Lloyd played their absolute best and Beechwood played their absolute worst, and the score was 32 - 12. Not to take anything away from the Lloyd players who did come out to play, this game was not close, and I don't think that any of the Beechwood fans or coaches EVER thought that the game might have been in jeopardy. :sssh:
  6. I appreciate your loyalty for your team. But 34-12 is what it is. Get a grip and move on.
  7. Only at Beechwood can our young men beat a team 34-12 and our fans and the losing teams fans have negative things to say about them. They played a bigger school and beat them like a red headed step child. It wasn't close, not ever. Lloyd was never in the game ! Even with 4 fumbles on our part. All the fumbles did was keep it from being very embarrasing for Lloyd. The problem at Beechwood is that we (The fans) are spoiled. We are so use to winning and winning big, that if we don't beat a team by 40+ points we are asking "what's wrong ?!" and the other teams fans are saying they played us close. We won 34-12 folks. Any where else, any other game, that is a rout !
  8. I believe you are wrong about the starting time of the game. Everything I read says 7:00PM
  9. I am not familiar with Central Hardin. Are they the same as "Central", listed in the rankings in 3A, RANKED #1 ???
  10. I am an avid Beechwood Football Fan and have been for many years. It is my feeling that Beechwood will win this game for the 3rd straight year, but I do not believe we will win by the lopsided scores that have been voiced on this thread. Every time we play Dixie I get worried, simply because they are such a large school and have so many athletes to choose from. My common sense has a hard time rationalizing how a little 1A school can keep beating a 5A school year after year. I respect their players and especially their coach. Our J.V. played their J.V. last year in 2 very close games. They won once and we won once. We are all aware of how close the Varsity game was last year. The game tonight should be an awsome one and will probably not be settled until the very end. Beechwood is (over-all) a faster and more athletic squad than last years team. I have high hopes for a repeat in Louisville this year and this game is just the first step on the road back. Go " BIG RED " !!!
  11. My prediction concerning last year was correct. We had 5 turnovers and you still lost.
  12. The game is for sure at 7:30 at Beechwood. I expect this to be a very physical scrimmage too because both teams have big lineman and run power football. I wouldn't want to be a little guy and get caught in the trenches in this one because it is going to be very rough in the middle with the size and strength of each teams lineman.
  13. I know that the Beechwood High School classes have around 75 - 80 kids per grade tops. The entire school (k -12) has around 850 kids, maybe a little more, but not much.
