  1. Well put. It would have been great to see Ligon win the award, but it's great to see Hicks get the respect that he deserves.
  2. M'boro at 10? Are you joking? With Brown, Green, and Smith they will be incredibly explosive and a match up nightmare.
  3. Nick Smith - Middlesboro - Solid Player - 6'4", Strong, Quick, Athletic. 27 points against Pineville and JD Strange 31 points against Corbin and Josh Crawford
  4. Talent means nothing. An avid follower of yellow jacket basketball over the past several years, I have witnessed talented players and teams wasted due to inadequate coaching. Regardless of the amount of talent that a team possesses, it cannot function to its potential without proper organization and instruction from someone who commands a thorough understanding of the game.
  5. The jackets simply did not show up tonight. They seem to have lost their swagger and confidence in each other that they have shown in the past. Whatever is going on within the confines of their team (or group of guys that play ball together as it seemed tonight) must change quickly, or they risk jeopardizing the potential that they carry. With the culmination of talent that they possess, their performance as of late is unacceptable
  6. The jackets have yet to play a complete game. When and if they come together, they have unlimited potential.
  7. Middlesboro won by about 20 - with substitutions at the last. It was a very slow and sluggish - Not a very exciting game at all.
  8. Jackets scoring: Smith 31 Green 14 Brown 12 Griffin 12 Harrison 11 Sulfidge 5 Cowan 4
  9. This was a hard fought game. I feel the officials took the game from MHS - calling ridiculous fouls - especially against pg Brown. Middlesboro is much improved - playing as a team. When some of Middlesboros players could have taken a decent shot they gave the ball up to teammates that had a better shot - resulting in points - something not seen in the past. Smith had 7 assists and more nice passing by other jackets.Harrison for Middlesboro also had a very nice game - hitting several jumpers and getting some blocks. Nick Smith had a solid game shooting high percentage for 31 points. Green hit some nice jumpers and had a nice dunk. MHS had 3 starters to foul out - Corbin 0. That hurt in the OT.
  10. Desmond Johnson - Cumberland Josh Crawford - Corbin Nick Brumback - Jackson County Dustin Day - Pineville Brock Leisge - Cumberland Garfield Wilson - Cumberland Josh Seidel - North Laurel Justin Hobbs - Clay County Nick Smith - Middlesboro Cody Miller - Knox Central Cody Messer - Barbourville Josh Caldwell - Cawood
  11. Not all sophmores are that young. My cousin is a senior at Middlesboro and Greene is older than her.
