  1. Anyone know when they plan to officially hire Young? When would she be able to come to work? I wonder if she's under any kind of binding contract where she is? Who will her assistants be?
  2. Looks like it's going to be Sam Young. Hamm apparently had a good interview, but character questions shot that. Hats off to Bell AD and principal for doing their research on this one. Our kids need good leadership and role models. Gambrel may have had a temper, but he cleaned that situation up quick...program was feeled with all sorts of character problems when he took over. Character is most important...even above winning.
  3. Sam was one of the best, if not the best, players to ever play at Bell. She played in late 80-early90s and then played at EKU. She's been all over as an assistant at the college level and was a head coach at Wofford I hear.
  4. Millett is the best option from what I hear. He's the only one with any real experience.
  5. Heard last night that a girl from Harlan has shown interest in this job. Last name Hamm...hear she's really young with no experience, but was a really good player in college.
  6. I'm sure Bell people would love to have Parsons, but I don't know that she's interested. She's headed for Harlan if they ever get that school built. Besides she's in a lot better shape at Corbin than in Bell.
  7. LadyCat parents I know don't seem to know for sure what happened with Gambrel. Some say health problems and others that he and Whitaker were asked to. They are upset that Gambrel's assistant April Brock doesnt' seem to want the job and are hoping that she will apply. Kara Jackson and Tim Millett are the other names around Bell County for the girls job. Millett used to be Middlesboro's boys coach.
