  1. The foul count was actually really close, I believe there was only two fouls difference between the two teams. Wolfe County shot 26 free throws, 21 coming in the first half when they were only up 1 point at the half. Lee County shot 17 free throws in the game. Wolfe County's starting point guard sit out the 4 minutes of the 4th quarter with 4 fouls. Lee County was in foul trouble in the first half, Charles had 3, Pelfrey 2, Wise 3, and Campbell with 2. In saying that, Charles never got another foul called on him, and Pelfrey only had one called on him in the second half. I respectfully disagree with the fact that this was a homer officiated game, and not to brag about my fellow Wolves fans, but never do you see them come on here after a tough loss and state that the reason they got beat was becuase of the officiating. One last thing, the statement saying "that previous teams who have came into the Wolfe Den the last few weeks have felt the same when they left after losses" who are those teams, because this is the second win at home for the Wolves since early January. Good win for the Wolves, and a great building block going into the District Tournament.
  2. Did all of Breahitt's players play last night? I know the Ritchie kid and the back up center has not played the last couple of games.
  3. Wolfe County wins their 5th game in a row and goes 3-0 in the Whitaker bank Classic. Great job Wolves and keep it rolling.:ylsuper:
  4. Oneida had 21 turnovers in the second half, I do believe that hurt them worse than any foul count.
  5. Wolfe County improves to 4-1 on the season. The team is really playing hard right now, and DESERVED to win this game because they simply out worked Oneida in the 4th quarter. Coach Creech made a nice adjustment on defense by picking up full court and pressuring the basketball. Wolfe County is really playing an exciting brand of basketball right now and has become one of the more fun groups to watch at Wolfe County in a couple of years. Great Win Wolves.
  6. Pierson did play against the Wolves last night. The thing about Wolfe County this year is the fact that they can go 10 deep. A lot of teams can't do that, so far this year Wolfe County has not started the same line up twice. Right now the team has 4 kids averaging double figures, that is a great stat for any coach or team.
  7. Wolfe County won a very close game tonight on a last second shot by senior center Preston Wilson. Good win for the Wolves....:ylsuper:
  8. Anyone in the 14th scrimmaging today? I would like to get out and watch some teams.
  9. Wolfe County beat Jenkins by 3 points. Puckett had 44 points. Cordia was up on Owsley 23 to 7 when I left.
  10. Wolfe beat Jenkins by 3, Puckett had 44 points. Very good game.
  11. June Buchanan- Cox, Clint Stepp, and the other wing player Hazard- Campbell, Hicks, and Williams I think Knott- Mosley, Stamper Breathitt- Smith, and Hollon Wolfe- Brandon Campbell Owsley- Congleton Powell- Dennis Buckhorn- Gay
  12. Coach Hall's run at Breathitt has really been under-estimated. He went to 2 reigonal finals, won two district tournaments out of 3 and had at least 2 20 win seasons. Coach Banks also did a good job this year, but people are blind if they believe this was the same team from last year. They started two freshmen, their six man was a freshmen and their 8th and 9th person off the bench were freshmen. This does not mean Coach Hall could have won the reigon but rather there is no comparison in the two teams.
  13. Wolfe vs. Hazard Knott vs. Owsley Powell vs. JBS Breathitt vs. Buckhorn
  14. I am not going to get into any numbers, but I really feel the Wolves will come out ready to play and try to defend their turf. It should be a good game and anything can happen in tournament time. Both of them are 1-0.
