Simon has faced top ranked teams, beaten some and lost to others. Stowers made sure this team faced some strong opponents this year. Does anyone know what ranked teams Breathitt has played and how they did?

Simon Kenton will open the tournament play at Diddle Arena Wednesday at 6 against Breathitt Co. What are their chances?

Everyone hates a winner! We've dealt with these sentiments all season. SK girls are the team everyone wants to beat because everyone knows their caliber of play. :ohbrother: Go Pioneers!

Kayla Smith was in foul trouble the first half. Interesting reunion for Tolliver, Smith, and the Figgins to get to play on the same floor again with Spencer County's Ashley Wiley. The four played with Wiley in a booster league when they were 9. That's right, Wiley is from Independence and she could have been a Pioneer if she had stayed in the area. Now that could have been interesting!

Just reread the article and although the wording was confusing, I believe it meant they each were to split a guaranteed $65,000. Sorry for the confusion. I couldn't see how that total was correct and now I think I know what they meant. Still, a lot of money.

Article in the Enquirer said each 9th region school playing at BOK was guarenteed $65,000. That may make some one think about it.

All I've heard is SK plays Spencer Co. Tuesday at 6.

This was a great game for both teams to get them ready to head into tournament play. Their intensity level is up and ready to meet opponents. They can battle with the best. Good luck to both teams during their district and regional quest.

:thumb: It's hard to believe these girls are seniors. They have been fun to watch over the years and ALL are a class act. They are great students, athletes, and young ladies. We will miss them next year but right now, we look forward to watching them make a second run towards Diddle! Go get em girls!
