I think the rains had something to do with the low scores. These guys tear up a soft course.

I am glad he did. Maybe, if nothing else, going forward, people will be careful about what they hear and making judgements based solely on media who are owned and project the leanings of liberals who do not represent values of the majority of our country. PS: Nor does this state that far right conservatives represent the majority. There are MANY, thinking people who are conservative on some issues and liberal on others. These people want...

Anyone that knows me knows I am a bleeding heart liberal as far as the environment goes. Having said that real, not symbolic, political actions are needed. Whether man can stop global warming is not known. However, cleaning up our environment makes common sense. However, the Paris Treaty did not. It was a load of bull to make people feel like something was being done...and many of them the wrong things. At least 1/4 of the carbon put into...

BTW "my" horse Cistron finished 3rd in the Penn Mile Saturday. It was a mile on turf. He ran the best of his career and won the Northern Spur on the dirt at Oaklawn in April, but the trainer is stuck on him being a turf horse. I am not sure I get why?

Agree... it can be frustration...no where to vent energy...been on chain or in enclosure...and/or responses to prey drive. One thing Cesar Milan talks about, and I agree is the individual dog's energy level- high, medium, low A high energy dog must have an outlet for that energy or they will find one for themselves.

I read headlines now where supposedly Trump is in a war of words with Merkel. Don't give this too much traction. Being at odds with the US and spouting German global leadership plays well in Germany for the upcoming elections. As I mentioned before, Germans are all about Germany until they come to work in the US, then they usually want to stay. So we must not be that bad. The US has not been protecting our interests abroad sufficiently...

Maybe they will just let things work. I was sitting in a meeting with some people of importance to our state today, and discussion was of public-funded scholarship availability. The funds are there for the poor, and there are funds for the wealthy - if they even need it, but those in the middle are left out. There will be proposed changes to make more funds available to all. That is encouraging.

Looks like a good field, but I will have to research several of these, as I am not familiar with them. BTW the $500,000 Penn Mile is this Saturday and has a strong field as well. My minority interest horse may run there, but it would be against, for one, the horse that kicked our rear in the Desert Code two weeks ago....Armsrunner.

Is it just millennials? I thought church attendance was down in general. The mini-doomers are actually much better about attending Church than Mr. and Mrs. doomer. We find a mass and priest we like, where love is the message, then they are gone. We are not hellfire and brimstone kind of people nor do we want to be involved in a cult-like environment. When the church, any church backs up and takes their message too literal and too...

It seems pretty clear that the media onslaught does find traction with some. To others it just serves to prove how messed up we were becoming and reinforces that conventional political and conventional politicians were not the answer. Our country needs balance and counterbalance. We have swung back the other way and there is a group among us that can't stand it. As liberals do, they strive to help the poor, but don't, talk about hitting...

Most of these "allies" are in it for the well being of their country and will make decisions and act accordingly. They are quick to criticize when others do the same. What Europeans loved about Obama was that he was a socialist-leaning and weak leader which played music to the ears of Europeans who believed the US would then become more like them. Granted, most of my experience in the past 20 years was in Western Europe, Scandinavia and...

Hit my home PC. I was advised to call an 888 number. I did, and the person on the phone advised he was a Microsoft certified professional and would walk me through the issues and there wasn't a cost, ending with I needed to pay $199.99 for 1-year protection to clean off the virus. I hung up on him and disconnected from the internet and ran a full scan with McAphee which took hours, then I deleted all internet cookies, etc.. Mrs. doomer tells...

My daughter loved her German Shepherd and Boxer-Rottweiler mix. They were (we lost the B-R last year) great dogs, but when she had two little girls within 1 1/2 years, several things happened: she couldn't get the dogs the exercise they need; she couldn't give them the attention they were used to; and the dogs were not used to little noisy, squeaky things they couldn't chew on. My daughter was concerned about safety, thus, the dogs ended up...

No more than being famous should get him arrested. He apparently was near home, blew 0.0, and sleeping in his car. I would hope an officer of the law would find it better for the community to get the person (whomever it was) home safely - providing the person was not a habitual offender - which they can check.

Police have discretion. Do they get their jollies out of arresting famous people? Otherwise, why not let him call a cab or an uber if he is not driving? Just seems like we are wasting taxpayers money.

Prayers for you. Lost my Mom after a long battle with it two years ago. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. You may have done this already, but make sure you have power of attorney and guardianship documents or someone else does so that when the point comes that she can no longer make decisions, someone else can do so in her behalf. The longer in the disease one waits, the harder it is to get the paperwork as the person becomes paranoid.
