  1. America finally got one right. I hope this continues to Nov 2012.
  2. The drum players are too much like the Blue Man Group to me. They are entertaining, but my top 3 are Kevin Skinner, the 3 kids, and The Texas Tenors. The kids could be major gospel stars right now, the Tenors could fill the gap in country that will be left when Brooks and Dunn call it quits, and if you aren't pulling for Skinner, then shame on you.
  3. I don't know about The Shoe, but I've been to Bristol with 150K+. It is something to take in.
  4. This is so ridiculous, it is funny. The OSU bashers are ready to pounce anytime the Bucks lose. They lost by 3 to the #3 team in the nation. Not the embarassing loss most of you would have liked to have seen. Just on this website, the vote was 66-11 in favor of USC. None of the national media had OSU picked to win, or even keep it close. Good job Buckeyes. Now for the OSU fans, of which I am one. Congradulate USC. Their freshman QB did a great job of keeping his composer in a difficult situation. They outplayed Ohio State when it counted. The comments about not being impressed with him are as laughable as the crap coming from the OSU haters. Quit crying and maybe Gametime will keep his cute little sour grapes picture off of here. I'm tired of seeing it.
  5. I don't know about the other generic brands, but as a former Kroger employee, I can tell you that their brands are made by the big name brands. Kroger canned fruits and Veggies = Del Monte Frozen Chicken = Banquet Frozen Fish = Van De Camps Cereal is made by Malt O'Meals, the big name in bagged cereal Jams and jellies = smuckers Peanut butter = Jif Even the Kroger brand milk and other dairy products come from the same production lines as the name brands do. I'm sure this is the same for all retailers. They are not in the production business. They find someone to outsource it to. Kroger takes pride in their brands being good, and therefore they use top of the line companies to produce their products for them. I'm sure they probably change the recipe up on some things, but as long as they are high quality to begin with, canned peaches are canned peaches.
  6. If that is the case, then I would think the Target in Florence would be much closer than Lexington.
  7. I'm guessing the "gc" in your name is for Greenup County. If it is, there is a Target on I-64 at Barboursville. If it isn't for Greenup County, then please disregard.
  8. My father-in-law takes a trip to upstate New York every year in Sept or Oct to fly fish for salmon. There are tons of websites that will offer advice on guided or nonguided trips, as well as lodging options. He usually stays in a hotel, but last year, he tent camped and loved it.
  9. The coach could take this entire team to a Hooter's for dinner on a road trip, and wouldn't catch as much heat as he did for taking volunteers to church. This is much ado about nothing. If he loses his job for this, I sincerely doubt they will find a replacement that will care as much about where these young men will spend eternity as they do about wins and losses.
  10. I don't know if they still are, but 20 years ago when I worked there, McDonalds used poached eggs on their Egg McMuffins. Basically, an egg boiled in a frame to reach a desirable shape.
  11. You're playing my song on this one! One style of egg I haven't seen mentioned is pickled. I'm not big on a locked of pickled products, but pickled eggs are awesome.
  12. Wireman, I get the whole "I hate OSU, I love Michigan" thing. But do you really think Navy has a chance or are you just that much of a bonehead?
