What public comment do you want to hear? If you love Jurich and think the school is worse off without him, nothing they say would have changed your mind. Jurich was "The Boss" as back to back scandals have the basketball program on the verge of a possible death penalty...at some point the "Buck stops here" and that's with the man in charge. Jurich/Ramsey were milking that place dry, in the long run UofL will be better without them. UofL...

I see many online and heard them on the radio blaming all of this on Bevin. Really if the University wasn't a mess from top to bottom he'd had no reason to do anything to begin with. It's like someone blaming the judge or police when thier loved one goes to prison for stealing...instead of blaming the ones that stole. Didn't Bevin just say last week he was in favor of keeping Jurich? Sounds like the board acted independent of the man that...

No statement will relieve any of the issues they are facing. I get it that everyone wants to know everything, but regardless of why they did it...there is still a mess. I'm sure the reason nothing was said was due to expected litigation that is sure to follow.

That's the controversial part for everyone that I know, QB supposedly changed the play and called his own number...of course he didn't get in.

Somerset in 09 and 10 went 27-2 with a loss in the finals and semifinals. Both teams were good enough to get there and especially in 09 should have won the title. Somerset 82, I think at one point was the #1 ranked team in the entire state (not county Jefferson County which was separate then I believe) lost on the road by one point (in a very controversial game) in regular season and that kept them out of the playoffs. Defeated that seasons...

Pole dancing could be on track to becoming an Olympic sport The International Pole Sports Federation (IPSF), which has officially existed since 2009, has been granted “observer status” by the Global Association of International Sports Federation (GAISF) which officially recognizes activities as a sport. This move will allow the pole sports federation to apply for the Olympics once they are full members. National pole dancing groups can now...

In the first Quarter of the first game of the season Boston Forward Gordon Hayward went down with just under 7 minutes left in the period with what is now being reported to be a broken ankle. Tough break, no pun intended, for both he and the Celtics.

They do, every year there is talk about reseeding the playoffs or seeding the Sweet 16 instead of just drawing out the matchups. I agree with you. History has shown, at least on BGP, that it would not be received well.

Nothing can be done to keep that from happening, there will always be blow outs in every round. Granted their could be a few less in the first round if some teams were left out...but no one complains in other sports when they have first round blow outs?

For those that think Kentucky is so far behind the thinking of other states, here is a breakdown comparing other states that most closely compare population size to Kentucky. Oklahoma has 500,000 less population than KY, has 11 Classes for Football Oregon has 300,000 less population than KY, has 6 Classes for Football South Carolina has 300,000 more population than KY, has 10 Classes for Football Louisiana has 250,000 more population than...

Many schools are now off that week. I'm not sure why the KHSAA determined that district play has to be completed prior to week 10, but it has led to every week 10 game being meaningless, unless their is a three way tie in a district and in comes into the tie breaker.

Even in that situation, people would go crazy...especially on here :lol2: Imagine Desales and CAL meeting in the first round or St. X and Trinity playing the first weekend of the playoffs...it would be a total melt down :lol2:

The only games that have any bearing on the playoffs will always be just the district games, that's how we get great games during the season like Mayfield and Corbin that otherwise would have never met. Expand to 7 or 8 district games per year and we lose a lot of great rivalries across classes. Central would never get to play up to tougher competition during the season, many schools that dominate districts each year would just be locked into...

Somerset had a similar experience in 82. #1 rank team in the state lost a very controversial game by 1 point at a district opponent and were eliminated from the playoffs. They went on to destroy the eventual state champs on their own field, but that one loss left them at home.

People in Kentucky would lose their minds if that happened...I'd be fine with it, because you have to beat everyone at some point. We now have people complaining and screaming at the top of their lungs if #1 and #2 meet in the Semi Finals, meeting in the first round would cause a total melt down.

I'm not a fan of this idea. Indiana did this in basketball when they split classes and I hated it when I was living there. Doing it in football is even worse of an idea, in my opinion. I agree with what rjs4470 said.

I like the trees fine, the leaves just go from green straight to an ugly brown. I'd prefer some color when my leaves change in the fall. I'd love to have a couple of mature maple trees, grew up with a huge one in the yard and loved the leaves this time of year.
