Nichols had offers from many bigger D-1 schools; Michigan State, Arkansas State, Eastern Kentucky and Western Kentucky. Morehead seems to be the perfect fit for Matt.

I am personaly friends with both Cody and Matt, and both of them said they are going to be dual players in College.

Lubrano only had 56 at bats... You had to have atleast 60 at bats to have your name listed. Hes a stud.

Brice Smallwood of Dixie Heights. A tall lefty pitcher, that throws about 80- 83mph, with great off- speed. He was 1- 1 with several relief appearences as a frosh. Joel Lubrano of Dixie Heights. Was pulled up as a frosh last season and hit over .500 with 20 some RBIs in only 15 games, not including tourney play.

I play football and say many Dixie games last season... They have alot of senior experience coming back with Nichols(P, IF), Johnson(CF), Dettmer(SS), Cahill(P, 1B), Bricking(RF). Also all the young guns that saw alot of varsity last season, the frosh Popham(C, SS), sophmore Lubrano(C, 1B, DH), and two lefty soph P Stansberry, and Smallwood. Smallwood, I believe, is playing for Walt Terrel's summer team.

Beechwood has a very strong team this year. They should definately be a solid back up for Cody.

Elliot will also be pitching in relief. Nichols will be pitching and playing 3B.

Matt Nichols, Dixie Heights, will be signing with Morehead State University around that time. Also, Cody Elliott, Beechwood, will be signing with Ball State University.

Motivation is definatly not a problem for Dixie. Yes Ryle may have more of a reason to win then Dixie due to the playoffs, but a quick question, WHY WOULD DIXIE WANT TO LOSE ON SENIOR NIGHT? Point proven, Dixie has enough motivation to get the job done

If it's anything like the BC-Dixie game it will be a great shoot out. Hopefully it will go in the favor of the Colonels, we need a quality win under our belts, Good luck to both teams

I believe a few years ago Ryle came out fired up, ready to play, and expected to win big. Dixie shut them out to go on and win districts, I believe that Dixie will want some revenge from last year.

It's senior night at Dixie, coming off a big win, and lots to prove. I like our odds. Dixie-24 Ryle-14 Big win, but otherwise meaningless, younger guys need to get in to help out and also get some reps. Dixie wins, controls the game in almost every aspect. LETS BUILD SOME MOMENTUM BOYS!!!
