South 76 Holmes 54 Go Cards!

Coach Steve Wright cant expect for South too do good if they wont play there strong physical players , such as Mark Conley who did not get in the Madison Central for one min. Some things need to change for the Cardinals. Go South!

South could have won this game , but they did shoot poorly from 3 points land. Also Coach Steve Wright did not put in his best defensive player(#24 Mark Conley) for more than 5 mins the whole game. He needs to play him if they are going win.

Does anyone know why 2 of South's best players didnt see any action the second half. I dont think I saw Casey Hamm of Mark Conley get in after the half at all! Whats up with that!?

South Laurel wins this one , with the help of great defensive play by Mark Conley , while Ty Proffitt and Jordan Hammons rack up the points!

South Laurel will win this game! I except Mark Conley which is there best defensive player to shut down the Jags.

Both teams are very athletic , and have many playmakers. I except Ryan Luster to have a break out game for Ryle , and pull off the win againts Trinity. Ryle-28 Trinity-27

This was a good game , It was all GRC the first half. Then the second half went to the cardinals of south coming back into the game with great defense and there offense catching everything even with all the rain. But South just couldnt manage to score enough to win. Great job to both teams and there seniors! Good look to whatever you South seniors do after football.

Well if you were at all the South Laurel games this year then I would listen to you. Ive been there and those kids ive watched since they were in middle school , they are the most athletic group ive seen come through there. During spring practice there coach leaves them , they get a new one A month or two later , not being allow to finish spring practice and no organized team workouts. After there 3-5 defense doesnt work at all against Covington Holmes there coachs keep using it. South Laurel's coaches have used this defense in every game , sometimes they would have a linebacker come down on the line but they would only do that a couple times a game. I have spoken to some of the team memebers who said they hate that defense but the coaches wont let them change it. On offense all South does is air it out , yes they are good at the passing game but when teams come in a just sit back in pass coverage and you still throw it then you wont be able to move the ball at all. South's team is loaded this year with athletes such as Ricky Bowling , Terry Bingham , Cody Quinn , Logan Baker , Wes King , Big Phil Hibbard , Shay House , Randy McQueen , inj. Kyle Cochis , Miles Keith , and Jeff Ledford. Like i was saying , when something you are doing doesnt work you adjust...but this was not the case with there 3-5 defense. It hasnt stopped anyone but they still use it. But enough of that and good luck South Laurel and we respect all you seniors! Bring the PAIN TRAIN!

I predict the cardinals to win...the South Laurel Cardinals. This team has some of the most talented athletes ive seen in awhile , but lack of good coaching has killed them this year. I think South's seniors will pull it together one last time and show everyone they can beat anyone.

It has been a tough season for the Cardinals , not playing up to there full potential. But they are a good team and I think this team will get it together for there last game of the year. South Laurel-31 GRC-28

With Whitley Co. losing to GRC does this mean South laurel offically doesnt have a chance of making the playoffs?

Its surprising not to see South Laurel in there this year. I thought this would be one of there best years. Those boys have been through alot this year but they've never gave up , good job guys!
