  1. Hey guys a quick correction to my earlier post, the fumble recovery at the end of the game was by Sean Deskins, a clincher. Great Game guys, keep working hard!
  2. An oustanding game by both teams, the monster Rams defense was on all night and Caleb Caldwell came up huge with an interception to LCA's three yard line leading to the first Raceland score, a few sacks, several big tackles, a blocked punt returned for a touchdown by Thompson and a fumble recovery to end the game. Congrats to the Rams and their staff and congrats to LCA on a great season.
  3. Heartbreaker of a loss for the kids of Raceland, but a good lesson. Hope the coaches can learn from it. Several opportunities squandered, but good play and execution from the LCA squad, especially good job on defense, and by the young QB. Congrats to LCA and heres to a quick recovery for the Rams!
  4. A refocused and refreshed Ram team will prove too much for LCA. Raceland 33 LCA 8
  5. Firstly beating Ashland is nobody's "super bowl", a great win to be sure against a heavily favored , Larger school. Secondly, we don't have the luxury of playing Ashland at Raceland, so if the kids want to celebrate the win at midfield or for that matter in the middle of central park, then they will. Act like you've been there before, the Ram program has been there plenty of times before, it's Ashland who acts like they've never been there before with how they handled the loss, plenty of sour grapes to go around, coaches fighting with parents, parents fighting with parents, as a result of an opening season loss. A true fiasco post game for Ashland. People should really consider getting their own house in order before telling others how to straighten theirs.
  6. The defense and special teams of Raceland left it all on the field, the offense was muddled somewhat by some down right strange play calling. For example the shotgun long snap was mishandled all night, in tight spot after tight spot the shotgun was called and subsequently mishandled for huge losses. The run was super effective early and was just shelved for no apparent reason. The officiating was blatantly lopsided with no apologies, the refs marched Greenup county downfield to their first score. Tackles for a loss were erased by insane ball spots, Raceland players were held (all night long), blocked in the back, and facemasked directly in front of refs and no penalty. True we did turn the ball over but not on that kick return, he was down for a long time before the ball came out. Still district opponent or not, a good win, one that was hard fought and earned in all aspects.
