Agreed, that was a great move by R. Barnes.

Some things never fail … a win over Bama and not even one full page of comments and lose .. it's 4 pages and counting. :lol2:

U.K. had a good lead with around 3 min. to play and couldn't make the plays down the stretch to seal the W. UT's experience paid off for them as the Vols made big plays when they had to have them. Now we wait to see where the Cats land in the parings tomorrow and hope they can make a deep run in "The Tournament". GO BIG BLUE ..

    B. Kennedy is a billboard for a class human being. A&M had multiple injuries to deal with, a couple of their players made the decision that they were more important than the program, their teammates and coach and got themselves suspended, kicked out. Of course, the coach pays the price. Kennedy took the Aggies to consecutive S-16's, was very competative in the SEC and all the time while battling a terrible, crippling neurological disease in...

Couldn't had said it better. It's no secret that I am anything but a fan of either team and couldn't care any less on which team wins. I am however, a huge fan of college basketball and this game never disappoints.

Another solid game from this U.K. team, the defense was smothering along with outrebounding Bama by 10. The Cats also blocked 10 shots as well. Offensively, I loved the way this team is passing the ball and maintaining the spacing on their end of the floor. Herro had another solid game. That building will be wild in the semi final vs. UT.

I usually pull for UVA in all of their games. UVA plays the game the right way, with class from their coach down thru each player. With this one however, I really like FSU coach L. Hamilton and was glad that he got the win. They probably won't but I hope that FSU can pull the upset vs. Duke in their conference tourney championship.

Another great defensive game for U.K.. Cats were also + 16 on rebounds ! 4 players score in double figures to show a balanced "Team" . SEC Tourney starts this week ! . GO BIG BLUE !

This one was as all road conference games …. physical and tough to get the win. I thought that the Cats played well overall. There were some break downs on the half court defense and were out rebounded in the first half. Montgomery made a couple of big defensive plays late. P.J. Washington made a statement that "we're not losing" in the 2nd half. When he gets the ball down on the low blocks (especially left side) then usually it's 2pts, 2 plus...

I agree, I don't think that U.K. wins the SEC tourney w/o him and certainly need him to make it to a final four. Travis gives the Cats another physical defender down low and helps in keeping Washington, Montgomery along with himself out of foul trouble and the team stays stronger should one of them get early fouls and have to sit.

If it did then I would be pretty sure that whichever player did it wouldn't do it again ...:sneaky:. BTW, as I said earlier, I don't blame R. Barnes at all.

The slam dunk on the last possession w / the clock running out was more irritating to me. I don't even remember if it counted or the time ran out …. that was classes. I'm just saying so bc your post on the 3 reminded me of it. No matter, just showed what I believe about UT true. BTW … It's not Rick Barnes fault or a reflection on him at all. Just a showboat player (who I forgot who it was) showed that he hasn't won enough to know how to act...

The UT win didn't surprise me but the margin did. I thought this one would be in the single digit margin. U.K. had a long (9min.) scoring / FG drought in the first half and then another around 7min. in the 2nd half. Obviously, you're not going to beat anyone with stretches like that. Credit UT / R. Barnes for the Vols game plan and execution. UT dominated this one like the Cats did in Rupp a couple of weeks ago. Shake it off, don't let this one...

This one will be tough to get a W. We know that the Vols have been steaming since the whipping they took in Rupp. I do hope that the officials let them play tomorrow. W/O Travis, fouls could mount up on Washington and other U.K. low post guys like Richards. I think that U.K. certainly is capable of winning this one. Going to Rocky Top, that will have the noise level shaking the rafters, may give UT a win. After all, they are a very good team as...

Exactly, Reid really helps defensively and certainly on the boards. Plus, that's another 5 fouls that the Cats could have and maybe keep someone out of foul trouble.

This one was a classic "trap game". U.K. coming off big wins in the last few games, especially vs. Tennessee and Auburn and UT coming up this weekend. Kudos to Arkansas for being ready to play and their execution, especially in the first half. The Cats came out flat, unemotional and just went thru the motions while Arkansas wanted the upset and frankly outplayed, out hustled U.K.. Obviously Cal got his message across at the half and I agree...

Another total team win. P.J. Washington was great again in this one, 24pts. led the Cats , Herro played very well again. 4 Players in double figures plus, what about Johnson stepping up with 17 rebounds !? Johnson, then with Montgomery and Richards splitting time to compensate the loss of R. Travis, it shows the depth this team has developed. A. Hagans had a very good game running the team. I really love the way that this UK team is playing...

I was really pleased with the way that UK played in the first half and going into the 2nd. I think that the intensity along with focus was lost some after the Cats reached a 20pt. lead. Having said that, I don't look for that to be a continuing problem. This team just came off a huge win on Sat. over the no.1 ranked team and were probably still a little drained both physically and emotionally. That obviously can't go on bc we are close to the...
