U.K. came out ready to play and just took care of business with a blowout. Shai G- Alexander put on a clinic offensively w / 27pts, scoring in any and my "hard work" guy W. Gabriel added his usual toughness plus added 18pts. On to the Sweet 16 in "Catlanta" !

Davidson is good, playing well. That's not enough for them to win this one. U.K. by 16.

I chose U.L. due to they are the team with the better talent. Having said that, the N.I.T. games can go to the team that wants to be there more. Should UL come out flat, no emotion or even a desire to play then NKU could take the game. I understand that "don't care" feeling by a team that fully expects to be in the tournament. That's imo exactly what happened to U.K. several years ago when they went to the NIT and lost to Robert Morris. I...

31 X Tourney Champions ! This is and always has been the U.K. Wildcat Invitational ! I echo others in that saying what a great job Cal has done with this team. As for today.....S. G-Alexander took this team on his back and wouldn't let them be denied. Our / U.K.'s defense in all three of these games has been great. Rebounding was about even today, the Cats aren't letting teams push them around underneath now. Clutch FT shooting put the nails in...

I don't think that I could feel better for a kid than I do W. Gabriel after this one. With all he and his family has been thru to get to America, to where he is today it's just feels good to see him have a game like this. Wayne exploded for 23 points and UK took down Bama ! The U.K. Defense was really clicking again today. Gabriel went off for 7-7 three pointers and our defense was obviously the story in this one. Having said that, I thought...

I thought that the U.K. defensive game plan was great. Doubling, even triple teaming their big guy when he got the ball in the paint along w/ cutting the passes going to him when possible was imo key in this one. Knox stepping up with 9 rebounds, along w/ SGA dishing out 9 asst. .....both scoring 15 points were the other keys in this Win. Tournament time ....Survive and Advance. A red hot Bama coming up tomorrow.

The streak that UF went on, blowing out to I believe was a 23 pt. lead was the story. If I am not mistaken, I think the Gators hit something like 8 shots in a row. Hudson had scored 23 pts. combined in the UF 3 previous UF games and he went off :idunno:. For the larger portion of the game, UF was beating the Cats to loose balls, feeding off their home crowd and it shook the Cats. Without an experienced upper classmen (on the floor leader) imo...

U.K was sloppy for a while and then came on to cruise to a win. Out rebounding the opponent once again and another balanced scoring effort. Knox with 22 and Greene's 18 leading the way. Cal has these guys playing well and at the right time of the season. For a lot of this game, I couldn't help but think that the thing was lasting about 6 hours long. I think that most of that was due to the Ole Miss team playing so unorganized, not caring and...

I think that J. Vanderbilt is now getting in "game shape" and is getting comfortable in his role on this team. When he (J.V.) first got into games after missing so many, I think that he had to and was trying to do everything. J.V. is dominating on the glass (15 reb. tonite), he's rebounding like a mad man. That is setting the tone of toughness that this team was missing and that's getting the entire team stepping up, playing harder. Knox and...

This was the effort that we've all been looking for from this U.K. team. To have fallen down 11-0 out of the gate and hold it together on the road and at Bud Walton at that .....and make 26pt. turnaround is beyond impressive. U.K. after the f'irst 3-4 min. played lock down defense, especially in the 2nd half. UA had only one 3 pointer in the 2nd half. Offensively was the same story, a Total Team Win ! Moving w/o the ball, passing / hitting the...

I hate this for the U.L. fans on here, I honestly mean that. I remember how it felt when U.K. was put on tough penalties / sanctions and how that hurt. At least now U.L. knows what its facing and can put it behind them and move on. (........ as for the bb program / coach basically running a brothel for players / recruits, what did they expect ? That's blatant and imo the head coach at that time had to have known about it, regardless of what...

@ the hog pen will be tough. U.K. has the talent but will this inconsistent team put in two good games in a row is the question. I think that it will be extremely close and have to give the nod to Arkansas at home. Wonder what type of night / promotion this one will be ? Everywhere U.K. plays in conference is that team's national title.

That's a pretty good list. Ones that I would take from the list provided would be 1. Mich. St. and then Purdue or Kansas. Outside the list ....Duke and / or Arizona. and my record of picking the champion pretty much sucks so take any but these teams. :lol2:
