A road conference win vs. a good UGA team that plays well vs. UK, I'll take it and get out of town before J.J. Frazier makes another couple of plays / shots from the locker room and UGA wins . That kid is a basketball player and he could play for me any day of the week. With 36pts, he almost beat U.K. by himself. As for the Cats ....although the play left a lot to be desired I was happy with the way they hit ft's, especially down the...

Tonight was what I refer to as "Kentucky Basketball". On offense, they kept good spacing, were moving without the ball and passing, hitting the open man. For the first time in close to a month it looked like they were actually running an offense. A pattern of couple of players trying to "get theirs" first before passing and screening, etc. had taken over in the last few weeks and hopefully we won't see that again. U.K. played much better...

UT comes into Rupp this Tuesday for the rematch of the game from a couple of weeks or so ago. The Vols handed the Cats butt back to them. How does everyone think this one turn out ? Although I think that Rick Barnes is doing a great job at UT and they are going to get better and better in the coming years, I say that U.K. continues on the upswing after the wrath of Cal and gets a convincing win. U.K. by 15 +

Defense looked much better and then slacked off after a 20 pt. lead, letting Bama back in the game. I thought the officiating was too tight, not letting the teams play and that hurt U.K.. Bam fouled out and that helped Bama close the gap, imo. I thought that Briscoe had a good game today, he still at time gets out of control on some of his drives but his 11 rebounds were big today. I, like others have mentioned, think that Monk should drive the...

The early bracket predictions are coming out this weekend so I want to see how everyone would rank the top 9 to 12 teams right now. My picks aren't necessarily on the teams AP rankings or records, just on what I think by have watched ncaam teams / games this season. 1.Villanova 2 Kansas 3 Gonzaga 4 UCLA 5 Louisville 6 Baylor 7 UNC 8 Arizona

Agreed, Bama is playing well right now and at Tuscaloosa is always tough. Should Cal's "attitude adjustments" since Tuesday not have gotten the point across then it's basically anyones guess on each game and a first weekend exit in the NCAA. I am going to still be positive and say U.K. by 9, single digits just bc it's a road conference game and vs. a very confident, improving team.

I may be mistaken but at one time earlier this season Cal made the statement something like "with the way that they are calling fouls on Bam, I told him to let them drive / score ...that we (UK) would get it back next trip" ? I was thinking I heard something like that early on. :idunno:

I was disappointed in the way that this team got up 20 + and end up winning by 7. I can, in a way understand kids maybe not playing with the same intensity ...to a point. From cruising, looking good to single digits is not playing hard or even playing at all in the final minutes in the game. I really liked the way the Cats came out and early on left no doubt who was the superior team, not letting a bad team think they had a chance of an upset....

I was reading Chief Smoke's post and got to thinking that there may not be a right or wrong answer to "Best Ever" bc of different eras, style of play, newer rule changes, etc.. I'll put it this way, I would take my favorite Brett Favre and mention other greats like Brady, Manning, Montana, Elway ....heck, we all could go back and say people like Staubach, Bradshaw, Unitis and yes, maybe the best of all .... Bart Starr when all were in their...

I understand how you feel on that and I kinda' feel that way about Brett Favre. Farve, for all of his numbers, records and the fact that most of his seasons with G.B., didn't have the talent surrounding him that others had.

See below ....................................... I will answer both with this one quote / post since they cover the same ...I probably used the wrong term / description by "Thug". I was mainly speaking of his several different what I thought were Cheap Shot plays, hits, etc.. , along with his seemingly to me anyway constant running mouth and show boating. I didn't mean criminal or like all of these on t.v. rioting, burning cars, etc., etc. ...

First of all, I give him and the Patriots, Belichek all the credit. They are a great football team as he is a great QB, as for "pretty boy Brady, I just don't like all of hat squeaky clean image when he, Belicheck and N.E. have been connected to more than one not so clean actions in different years. Don't get me wrong, I don't put Brady in the Thug category of a Pac man Jones, Sherman at Seattle and ones like that. Besides my favs ...Packers...

For me anyway, I am not courtside of course to know, hear for sure but it seems by watching that they aren't communicating / talking and / or telling one another when and who pick up when someone gets beat. Another could very well be the laziness, not wanting to put in the work that defense takes, defense and rebounding doesn't require great athletic ability or do those qualities get the glory, press that a dunk, great offensive play does. All...

...... ..... .... ........................................ A reply / comment to all three above ...it sure didn't take long for the commentary to start. I was watching the Gonzaga game later last night and when showing the highlights at the half, one commentator (forgot the name) ran that exact film clip and commented on how that showed one big problem. They were being embarrassed, down by 20 and laughing about it. One comment was that...

Another thing on the U.K. game tonight .. I saw D. Fox, M. Monk and I. Briscoe on the bench late in the game tonight .... LAUGHING :madman: :madman: ! That went thru me more than how bad that U.K. played ...were ran out of the gym and Laughing ?? If I am the coach ...those three do not play in the next game, if I lose then I lose with players that care !

Should Florida play like they did tonight ....I think they can beat anyone. They're good, I just don't think that they will play this good again this season, I actually look for UGA to get the W against the Gators in their next game.

I honestly can't remember any more of an embarrassment watching a U.K. team play. I guess the only one that's even close is a few years ago losing to Robert Morris in an opening round N.I.T. game. A few more exhibitions like tonight and that's exactly where that this team will be ...the N.I.T. ! U.K. wad out played, by far out shot, more than doubled out rebounded, out hustled, out anything one would want to put after the word "out ...." ! I...

While I agree with some that have commented on the Zags schedule and the ooc teams played .... I will say that some of that probably has more to do with teams not wanting to schedule Gonzaga, especially on a true home / home basis. I will also say that if I am Few that I am playing any top rated team in my ooc that I can schedule regardless of where I play them. Winning the WCC is a good bet regardless so you're going to be in the tourney and...

Yep, that's easy to tell . I mean, all someone has to do is look at the experience, records, number of schools / teams taken to the final four, uh ?......and don't give me "championships won", bc imo any team that reaches a F4 in a given season is capable of winning it in that season or they wouldn't have made it that far.
