You may be right and I would understand why, should he decide not to play. I certainly hope that he does decide to play football. Yes, Lacks imo has an unlimited future in baseball ... I just believe that a h.s. kid should play all the sports they can and that it actually helps them in all sports by being versatile. Lacks in jmo could be a big help to Coach Salmons, especially in replacing the heavy 2016 graduation losses on offense.

NOTE - I forgot to add that Mike Hewlett was also inducted into the Rams Football H.O.F., Class of 1967.

This morning, the Communities of Raceland and Worthington, KY. are grieving the loss of a great friend to the schools, students, fans and all Raceland Rams & Ramblers Alumni..... Mike Hewlett has lost his battle with Cancer and is now with the Lord. Mike was a friend to all, the kind of man that always took up with / had the "little guy's" back and with a heart of gold (well, maybe Orange) would do anything to help a friend. Mike Hewlett was...

O.K., I admit that I can't quit w/o one shot ....U.L. basketball ...Remember when "getting up" for the game used to be kind of a spiritual thing ? :sssh: Now I'm done. :sneaky:

For what was done to warrant these penalties, I really don't see how anyone could really dispute any penalties. After all, the U.L. was basically running and financing a Brothel (for lack of a more descriptive term) for student athletes. I will say to anyone that honestly believes that R. Pitino didn't know what was happening that they're living in the land of Oz and for Dorothy to click her heels 3 times and say there's no place like home. I...

I am not sure, that could be the case. I have also heard thru the sometimes re liable, sometimes not "Ram Vine" :D that he may possibly be an option at WR :idunno:.

I honestly haven't heard a lot as of now on my Ramblers. As DMC said, a lot of talent / leadership has graduated so just by that fact and the positions left open I don't look for Raceland to be as good or as experienced as in years past. Raceland imo could be a good rushing / power and speed rushing team in 2017. One unproven kid that imo could become a factor is Jr. Hunter Lacks, who comes from the same bloodline at Raceland that has brought...

Yes, Hunter is an incredible athlete but has been injured in football in the past couple of years. One former Asst. football coach at Raceland told me that as good as Lacks is in baseball, that he thought that he was as good or better football player. Also I do agree that imo is that his future is in baseball, I personally think that Hunter could be a legit D1 baseball player. As only a Soph., he has received interest from several schools that...

First of all, Congrats to Boyd on the win, the better team won. Good luck the rest of the way. As for Raceland, it was the same :deadhorse: story ....Errors. Giving any team extra outs in innings is the quickest route to a loss that I know of. Raceland was a very young team, only a couple of Seniors I believe. . Their record was 17 / 16 , highlighted by a Win over rival and District favorite, one of the Region favorites .. Greenup Co. in the...

From what I understood it was due to Raceland and LC split their two game series, ended in a tie for 3/4 seed. The tiebreaker was the team that won the 2nd game between the two ??? Don't ask me why, I have yet to hear someone say that they understood that logic. :lol2:

Congrats to Russell on the win and the district title. Russell has an excellent hitting team and you can't give them extra outs in an inning and expect to win.. Raceland got a 3-2 lead early (3rd inning I believe) and then in Russell's half of the inning ....a walk, errors followed by RHS base hits and the lead was gone. Things collapsed after that. ....I am way late posting in these baseball threads. I am not on bgp alot after the h.s....

Needless to say, this was a huge win for the Rams. What I was impressed with was that from what I was told about the practices, game prep leading to this game ...Hardly a word / talk about GCHS. Everything was about Raceland, this team and "taking care of their business" / doing what they could control and not what GC does.
