What teams make it to the ninth region tournament????

Dixie was once again outcoached. The guards for Dixie played their hearts out. Great effort girls against a strong NCC team.

D- I think it has been terrible. No coverage of teams other than the top rated 3 or so. How about some pictures of a variety of players, instead of providing enough pictures of two or three players to make their own scrap book from. Also, although not unique to the Enquirer, I would love to read about some awesome defensive plays, rebounding, team spirit, or physical toughness mixed in with the reports of points scored. As previously discussed on here... there are more players contributing to the game than just the top scorer!:irked:

HOT... Highlands Lady Bluebirds...Key wins recently over Boone and Conner...an exciting game in overtime with Notre Dame.....Great group of girls to watch... Good luck the rest of your season. Not Hot....Dixie....struggling!!!! and not looking forward to playing these HOT Lady Bluebirds again!!!:lol:

Very True.... Long, Beasley, Hodges, ...very good players. And work very well together. Also have great bench depth!! Congrats on their 11-0 record!!

Dixie seems be falling short in several areas! Any "professional" opinions from anyone who has seen them play this year? They surprised some teams early in the season. It seems as is now they are often being outcoached! They NEVER press their opponents, players don't seem to be "familiar" with screens!! and they concentrate so much on their outside game that the inside is almost non-existent. When things just aren't working..no changes are made! With so many good coaches in the 9th...this one needs to step up and give her team a chance to make a name for themselves!! They ARE a small team with only 2 players with much Varsity experience (1 senior and a sophmore who began playing Varsity as an 8th grader)...but they are playing with great heart and hustle. Hopefully their team spirit will continue throughout the rest of the season! Any words of wisdom??

Grammar and Punctuation mistakes?!! Is that it? Surely not the whole story.

It seems as if Dixie has surprised a few teams so far this season! Any thoughts on how their season may continue to play out? Chances on winning their district? It seems as if they have consistently scored at least 60 points in several games. Surprising considering I thought they had lost all of their height and shooters from last year. Scoring now seems to be well shared by the team according to box scores! Nice to see!!!

Any word on the outcome of this game.

Wow!!! Well said, and this unselfish style of play that occurs when players aren't worried about "how many points did I score?" is amazing. Our team lost some talented players from last year to this year for various reasons, but the difference in the team because of the attitude toward team play this year vs last is amazing. Sooooo true that often what makes a difference in the games does not often show up in the box scores.:dancingpa

Anybody know how the games at the shootout played out?

It sounds like so far Dixie has been a surprise to their opponents. Being very young and losing 3 starters from last year!!! Sounds like they have nothing to be ashamed of in this game. Here's wishing you a great season!
