  1. Listening to the 859 Broadcast during the game, the question was asked when was the last time HC made it to the regionals. The discussion seemed to infer that it had been a while. Actually, HC has been to the regional 4 of the last 6 years. They beat Beechwood in '16 and '17, Holmes in '18, and now Beechwood again in '21.
  2. Dixie played really well tonight! Looked like the 4 games in 5 days caught up with the Indians. Good luck to both teams the rest of the way.
  3. Bruce Kozerski is actually 1-0 in state title games. It's reversed on the chart.
  4. Tomorrow night the Holy Cross Indians girls will play at Conner, the states number one team. The boys will travel to Scott Co. to play the states number one boys team. Does anyone remember this ever occuring where both the boys and girls played the number one team in the state on the same day?
  5. HC should have never scheduled this all important district seed game immediately following the All A tournament. Beechwood made the same mistake last year, and lost to a Holmes team they should have beaten. Hopefully, neither team will make this mistake again in the future.
  6. Dan Rassche, Joey Meier, Bob Strorer, Ken Vogelpohl, Skip Redmond, Bob List, Cecil Coker, Mike Deitz, Bob Fischer, Mike LaFever and Tom Schmidt come to mind. Interestingly enough, two stars of the '72 champs, who were undefeated in the 9th Region, were non factors as freshmen. Tom Schmidt was the last man on the freshman team and Dave Muck went to CCH his freshman year.
  7. The Holy Cross community and all of northern Kentucky have lost a legend and icon tonight. Clay Eifert lost his 8 year battle with cancer, after fighting it with all the determination and grit he displayed on the court, and in life. Please keep Clay in your prayers.
  8. Have stayed there for years. Reasonable price, no frills, but pretty clean and they have breakfast in the morning. They have a fridge, bed , TV for NCAA games and free wireless internet. What more do you need? Also have figured out "back" ways from this motel to Rupp to avoid traffic before and after games.
  9. 1- Scott Co. 1- Bowling Green 1- Scott 1- Pikeville 1- Collins 1- Cooper 1- Ballard 1- Hopkinsville 2- Bowling Green 2- Scott 2- Cooper 2- Hopkinsville 3- Bowling Green 3- Cooper 5- Bowling Green 108 points
  10. Don't know all their names. They surely aren't as big as these guys listed here are. Don't know how many of these played freshman for CCH last year, but the optimism lies in the fact that HC beat the CCH freshman in the regular season and regional finals last year.
  11. Actually the streaks were not back to back to back. Holy Cross won the title in 1972, then NCC followed with 3 straight, then Holmes with 3 straight.
