Agree with what you said, hard to understand the why the Referee didn't pull a red card out of his pocket at least once or twice in this match. The US didn't play very well, but then again, if you're worried about getting mugged all night long......

I understand, honestly I really do, (I worry about some baseball teams who place a 3rd baseman 3/4 down the third base line thinking a bunt is coming) but with the equipment covering the players, will they become unafraid of getting hurt and thus get hurt but not in the face or will it change the game, as to who it was suppose to be played?

Just wondering but will the mask convince players that they can play even closer to the batter than they do already? So is the next rule change going to be to dress them up like catchers and stand a foot or two in front of the batter? :idunno:

Son-in-law purchased a used 2016 Ford Fusion with only 21,000 miles and some change on it for $16,000 and the car was loaded and neither he nor I could find a scratch, dent, or scuff mark inside or outside of the car. The warranty of 3 years and or 36,000 will still be honored by the dealer and for just a couple hundred more he got a seven year or 100,000 mile warranty. He was able to put down enough to only finance 10,000. Yes he got a great...

Yes Ricky, I knew that, as they have a large group of people who keep them, as most teams don't have stats staff. I attended the sessions this season in Ga. so I knew it but honestly, I have more faith in them, then I do in some of the parents, who seem to never keep track of TO's or missed shots. Don't want to make my kid look bad now do I. Take it for what you want but why ask if you think in advance, they aren't any good, just doesn't...

Not at all when you consider CovCath usually played an Elder, Moeller, St. X and more top ranked teams (look at post 109) plus Highlands almost every year! Kind of hard to go 10-0 when you play those kind of schedules. Think about this year, CovCath plays Ryle, Kings (Ohio) LexCath, Columbus, Ohio DeSalles to name just four schools that will be hard to beat without talking about HHS, Dixie, Campbell, a team from Indy, Beechwood and Cooper....

First "Daddy Linder" as you called Mr. Carl Linder, is dead and Mr. Linder wasn't some rich kid born with a silver spoon in his mouth, he worked and worked hard for the money he made for his family. Nothing wrong with that at all. It might be hard to find someone who has donated more to so many in Greater Cincinnati than Mr. Linder. His son Carl III is the majority owner of FCC! My wife happened to have worked with him when she worked for...

Let's see Deuce, the old record was around 10,000 or maybe a few more at Sluggers Field for a Futbol match and at least from what I could see on my TV, it sure looked like the FCC fans were in numbers around 1,000 or so fans. SO....... Terrible fans migrating from one pro team to the other? Strange but the Reds fans are an older group may be averaging around the age of 45-65. The Bengals more of a 30-50 age group. FCC my guess is around...

FCC 3 Lou City 2 Louisville fans or should I say from the look of the crowd, FCC fans break the attendance record in Louisville City with 11,000 and change, which would have been one of the smallest crowds at Nippert!

If I hadn't just been to the West Coast and had Halibut more than just a few times, that was literally off the boat, I would have ordered that but my waiter agreed, off the boat, would be tough for them to match but it did look good. Again not cheap but if we didn't have the Bottle of wine an appetizer no dessert, then again it wouldn't have cost so much but.....we had a ball......:-)

West Linn out of Portlaand, Oregon is always a contender for 6A state championships. They always have DI players. When they called to inquire about coming to the KOB they ask, " How tough is the completion? Is it going to be good enough for us?" Good bulletin board reading material for our Kentucky teams, kids, and fans! KOB! :-)

We started out with a Bottle of wine, then had Fried Green Tomatoes, the salad we split was a Harvest Salad really good. I had the Dijon Chicken and "the Boss" had Bourbon Marinated Pork loin. For Dessert we had Chocolate Mousse and Bread pudding and had Coffee and Amaretto. Again wasn't cheap but then again when the service, food and the evening was pleasant, you have to pay more that McDonald prices. I paid but in return I got what I paid...

Continuing our between birthday celebration, we went to Braxton Brewery where Graeters and Braxton are serving Beer Floats. After having a Beer or two, we tried a Float. Of course since my youngest Brother-in-Law works for Graeters and I gave Chip Graeter and other Graeters employees a bunch of Dirty on my Brother-in-law, we did receive rather larger scoops of Ice Cream to the point that the Barkeep at Braxton asked us so how did you get so...

The Boss and I just came back Otto's in Mainstrasse Covington for our annual between Birthday's celebration and while it wasn't cheap, WOW was it good. Have to say, other than the Local Ocean in Newport Or. it was the best place we have eaten in awhile. Great service, nice atmosphere, casual dress, non prestigious dining, and the food was outstanding. Thank you Otto's, for a great evening out.

Just wondering, as I haven't seen any official numbers but has anyone seen what Miami was excepting in attendance for their game vs FCC the other night? If I believe from the little I have heard, it's not surprising that it would be played in Cincinnati. MJ The Boss and I will be at the July 22nd game, it's her birthday and it was her choice to attend the game for her birthday celebration. Section 105 row 5

Coach Shields in his first year of teaching was my gym teacher and my Freshmen Baseball Coach at CovCath (he also was the Freshmen Basketball Coach and that staff included Coach Mote Hills and Coach Hep Cronin, not a bad staff indeed). Coach Shields gave us a book (I only call it that, as it was so many copies of pages) that had about everything that could ever happen in a baseball game and where each position player should be at in different...

As one who soon will be married 47 years, I can't image life without my Bride. She is the Mother of my Daughter, the person who sat with me and held my hand when I went in for heart surgery, she was also the person who told the Heart Surgeon, if he does this to me again, just let him die, cause I will kill him the next time. She sat through so many of my baseball games as my girlfriend and wife that she refuses to attend more than 1...

Well he has had two more but I am not at liberty to say who with at the moment but think about the decision the young man needs to make in the next couple of months. Does he stay at Home and attend X a top 25 program. Does he go to Iowa, Nebraska, Michigan, or a number of the other Colleges who have offered that you have read about in this thread. I know he would like to get into Coaching one day, so that might enter into his decision Going...

Sorry but you didn't hit a nerve, but you spoke out on something you obviously knew nothing about, as the bold shows from your own words I don't know, I don't know and I don't know!. Thacker was a player and a very, very good one and yes I am sure Grant had trouble getting games but he did play in the District, he did play in the 9th Region and indeed he played in the Sweet Sixteen not just once but twice. I can't speak about his 9th and 10th...

And let's not assume that people who worked hard to get to a point of making more than a decent living, didn't start out making that min wage too but because of working hard, getting an education in a marketable degree ,keeping their noses clean, living within their wage earning ability in the early years, didn't work hard either. I understand that more than you realize but when you work hard and you finally get ahead only to be pushed back...
