Would love to hear some detail about this game, particularly about Waggener.

Evan Williams Single Barrel. Best everyday sipping bourbon for the money. Diabetes has cut down on consumption, but I still have a ready supply for guests.

After my cruise through Alaska, make time to go see a glacier "calving" its ice into the ocean. Other-worldly experience.

Rumors of the Panthers' demise were greatly exaggerated. Still plenty of weapons, including what I was told was the "last of the Becherers." E-town simply threw it over the top of the TNHS defense time and time again and had a running clock after their first series of the 3rd quarter. #8 Peeler for E-Town is a really fast defensive end.

I really thought after losing Brents and Jones and having diminished numbers on their roster, that Waggener would fall back by the wayside this year. But Brandon Jones may be one of the best tailbacks nobody has heard of, and though Eastern is not particularly good, dropping 60 on them was no small feat. Waggener gave Danville all they wanted last year, and that truly is an interesting game.

Its trending that way. Locally, numbers are way down at the grade school and middle school levels. Its a combination of factors, but kids just aren't wanting to play football anymore.

So much of these things end up being about numbers. For me, a skill player's impressive numbers on a team that spreads it around tells me that a guy is really producing. Also, if a skill player's team is blowing out opponents such that he is sitting most of the second half or working with a running clock, big numbers are all that more impressive. I saw some clips of the Herron kid at Trinity. He's unbelievable, and I think needs to be...

The numbers reinforce what I see anecdotally at the local levels. Football is becoming an endangered species, while archery continues its meteoric rise. In fact, our coach looks at the elementary school grades and can predict whether its going to be a solid football class or not by the number of archers.

Just got back. This was a very physical, confrontational game. Glasgow has Division 1 talent and was the more imposing and physically superior team. Bardstown was the junkyard dogs. I think the Tigers intercepted Tanner Abernathy 4 times, and forced several fumbles. Bardstown also fumbled the ball several times and just had difficulty connecting on passes. The difference in the game was penalties. I don't have anything official, but I know...

Most of the current players weren’t even alive when this happened in 2000.

Interesting potential game. The Scotties won this game last year in Bardstown 43-9. However, 90% of Glasgow's production from that game has graduated. The Tigers turned the ball over 6 times. I don't think either team faced tough opponents last week in shutting out their respective teams. Bardstown will have to shutdown the Abernathy to Franklin connection. I think Glasgow is the clear favorite, but I think it will closer than most are...
