Of those prospects of interest for me, Boom Williams and Tion Green did not get drafted. Kofi Amichia, taken by the Packers in the 6th round (212) was a surprise. It was a surprise to the NFL guys, too, because they had no idea who he was. They also had him listed as a center. Kofi is a tackle. :D

The Colts took Marlon Mack. I liked Mayock's comparison of Mack with Le'Veon Bell. Not as big, but with the same running style.

The Vikings picked the 2 players who scored on the first 2 plays from scrimmage in the FSU/USF game last season, Dalvin Cook and Rodney Adams. I'm a Viking fan, again.

Tarasenko with the game winner in the 17th minute of the 3rd. A shot by Josi, deflected by Advidsson, hit the post with 12 seconds left that would have tied the game. Great hockey match. The series is tied 1-1 and headed to Nashville for game 3 on Sunday afternoon.

MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Junior first baseman Tyler Niemann homered twice and drove in five runs, but the Morehead State baseball team could only generate two more tallies and surrendered eight runs to visiting Eastern Illinois in the top of the ninth as the Eagles fell 14-7 Friday at Allen Field. STORRS, CONN. - The University of Cincinnati had a five-run ninth inning to earn a 5-4 comeback road win against UConn at J.O. Christian Field in American Athletic Conference action Friday in Storrs, Connecticut. Connor McVey (Mason, Ohio/Mason) scored from third on a passed ball to put Cincinnati up 5-4 and close out an improbable comeback. UConn argued that Jace Mercer (Johns Creek, Ga./Johns Creek) had fouled the ball off, but McVey's...

I've never seen that before. I'm absolutely amazed that a MLB pitcher would make a dive for the second runner like that. I can't imagine he practices that kind of roll very often, if at all. That's a good way to injure a shoulder if you don't land right. Props to him!

I'm watching my guy, Jimmy Herget, quietly work his way up though the system. He spent last season in Daytona and was sent from Spring Ball to Pensacola. To this point in the season, he's 8 of 9 in save opportunities with a 1.80 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and 19 strike outs.

Game 1 of other Western Conference Semifinal series. The game was tied 1-1 after 2 periods, then all hell broke loose in the 3rd. Edmonton scored 2 goals. Anaheim answered with 2 of their own. Adam Larsson got his 2nd goal of the period with 4:40 left, for the game winner. Leon Draisaitl got a empty netter with under 2 to play to end the scoring. Edmonton leads the best of 7 series 1-0. Game 2 is tomorrow night in Anaheim.
