Nashville is going to the Stanley Cup Finals!!!! The Preds were up 3-1 going into the 3rd period. The Ducks scored 2 goals to tie it, out shooting Nashville 37-13 with 10 minutes to go. The puck was staying in the Nashville zone and the Ducks were pounding Pekka Rinne. However, with 6:00 to go, and 3 seconds after killing an Anaheim power play, the Predators score on Colton Sessions's hat trick goal, putting Nashville up 4-3. With 2:35...

I'm watching SkyNews, FWIW. The Manchester Police are treating the incident as a terrorist attack, as they should. They have released no details. Everything else being reported, to this point, is speculation and supposition. The police were supposed to make a statement 15 minutes ago, but that hasn't happened, yet.

ORLANDO, FLA., MAY 20, 2017 – The University of South Florida baseball team dropped the regular-season finale to UCF, 3-2, Saturday in Orlando. The Bulls (40-15, 14-10 The American) hit three singles up the middle in the first inning to take a 1-0 lead. But the Knights (38-18, 15-9 The American) struck twice in the bottom half to take a 2-1 edge. After UCF added one more in the third, pitching settled down for both sides until USF finally...

HOUSTON - A four-run eighth inning comeback came up short and the University of Cincinnati closed out the regular season with a 7-6 loss at Houston in American Athletic Conference on Saturday at Darryl & Lori Schroeder Park. Houston scored five runs in the first and added a pair of crucial insurance runs in the fourth to edge the Bearcats. GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Kentucky’s bid for its second regular season Southeastern Conference championship came up just short, as the No. 6 Wildcats fell 6-4 to No. 5 Florida at McKethan Stadium in the regular season finale. The Cats finished the regular season with 38 wins, the most since the 2012 team won a school-record 45. Their 19-11 mark in league play represents the second-most SEC wins in school history, one short of the 20 the 2006 club...

The Cats did not get to Florida's Brady Singer until the 7th inning. By then it was too late. Singer pitched 6 innings of 1 hit baseball before Kentucky got 4 hits and 3 runs off of him in the 7th. He was dominating, striking out 8. Kentucky, on the other hand, could not seem to do anything right. They gave up 11 runs in the first 5 innings, committing 2 errors in the process. Florida picked up 3 more runs in the bottom of the eighth to top...

The Predators have lost Ryan Johansen for the rest of the playoffs. He had surgery today to repair an injury to his thigh, which he received in this game. This is a huge loss for Nashville. Johansen was the leading scorer in the playoffs, thus far. Fisher, the #2 center, is also hurt and may not be back for game 5.

Louisville was trailing 3-1 going into the top of the ninth. Then bad things happened for the Cards. Adam Elliot gave up a single to open the inning, then walked a batter and hit another to load the bases. FSU's Matt Henerson hit a single to score one run, leaving the bases loaded with nobody out. Elliot then struck out the next 2 batters. Almost out of it. Jackson Lueck beat out an infield single to third then advanced to second on a...

USF HC, Mark Kingston, did not use any of his top relievers in this game, sending out 2 barely used freshmen and a senior who only is not normally used on the weekends. Saving everything for the final push.

UCF with a huge 3rd inning, scoring 6 runs. The only USF bat doing anything was David Villar who accounted for 3 of the Bulls' 5 hits on the night and scoring their only run. The Knights had 17 hits and USF walked 7. UCF scored 9, but stranded 14, so it could have been much worse on the Bulls. UCF's Chris Williams pitched 7 scoreless innings allowing only 3 hits and stuck out 6. Ryan Valdes had his worst outing of the season giving up...
