BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Marcus Carson’s early home run off the scoreboard in right field and gutsy efforts from a trio of relievers pushed No. 19 Kentucky to a hard-fought 4-3 victory over Western Kentucky, its first against the Hilltoppers at Bowling Green Ballpark, home of the Bowling Green Hot Rods, the single-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. The Cats (16-6, 3-0 SEC) have now won eight straight games, 14 of the past 15 and 16 of 18 overall....

It took until the eighth inning Tuesday, but the Morehead State baseball team's offense came through and backed up what turned into a masterful pitching performance as the Eagles rallied to defeat the host Ohio Bobcats 3-1 at Bob Wren Stadium. Three Eagle pitchers held the Bobcats to no earned runs, and sophomore rightfielder Niko Hulsizer erased a 1-0 deficit in the eighth with a two-out, two-run homer well over the wall in left field to...

Mrs. S uses my FB page more that I do. I'm rarely on there. She on the other hand, uses it to play farm town. I'm weening her away from it, though. Potential employers look for Facebook activity to see how much time you spend on it. It looks like I'm on there all day, right now. If I have to look for another job, she's losing her farm one way or another.

This may depend on the type and texture of the wallpaper in question, but in my previous home, I had walls that had a kind of grasscloth wallpaper on them. I just put a knock down texture over it, like I would unfinished drywall, and painted. In this case, it came out great. There is always this...

I go by his grave every time I am up there. Didn't get up there last year, but I plan on doing so this year. This may sound funny, but I enjoy standing there talking to him. I honestly believe he can here me. Mrs. S and I miss him something awful.

Senior Colin Lyman's two-out, two-run single in the seventh inning proved to be the difference as the No. 1 Louisville baseball team remained unbeaten on the season with a 5-3 victory over Boston College on Sunday afternoon at Jim Patterson Stadium. I have no problem with selfies, for what they are, and take quite a few of the Mrs. and I when we're gallivanting around. I have no intention of stopping. I did the about the same thing when I had a conventional SLR or Kodak Instamatic. A selfie is the same thing as having somebody take a picture of you (and who you're with) when on a trip. The difference being you are not inconveniencing somebody else to do it. The people taking...

The last time the Morehead State baseball program started Ohio Valley Conference play 5-0, Jimmy Carter was President of the United States. That was 1980, but now the 2017 team can make that claim as the Eagles defeated Belmont 6-5 at Rose Park Saturday. The Eagles won their eighth consecutive game to improve to 13-5 overall and clinched their second straight league series. Belmont slipped to 7-10 and 2-3 in the league. It wasn't without...
