You saying Covcath not winning one in a long time being laughable is where that came from. But yes you are right we will have to agree to disagree. Which if you look at teams who have won the region, including his Covcath teams who won it. Most of them had great pitching. Which pitching is not something Covcath has had a lot of top guys at in recent years at least in comparison to the team's who has won it. When they did have it, they did win...

Saying its laughable that they havent won is basically putting down the other programs. By basically stating those programs those years shouldn't have been able to win it over the all mighty Colonels. Baseball is different than other sports. It's very possible for other programs to have equal or more talent in baseball than Covcath. Not to mention it's about matchups and all it takes is being put against a dominate pitcher and your season...

Got ya. So basically you got 1 more right than most already knew for sure we're going. Because everyone knew for sure Alexander, Knox, and Diallo were gone. So once again if all 3 players of Washngton, Vanderbilt, and Gabirel come back. Then that post doesn't really show to much. Just stating you may have wanted to at least wait to see what those 3 do.

Great point. No argument here. I guess I should have said the last 8 years then. So basically people want him gone and don't think he can coach in today's age because he didn't win the region 9 years ago with a great talented team. Got it.

You listed 6 guys. Only 3 are for sure gone out of those guys, and those 3 were all ones everyone predicted to be gone.

About the same as it did then. Most players should declare. If Washington, Gabriel, and Vanderbilt all come back. Which is a good possibility. Then the prediction doesn't look that good. So might have been better waiting to see if they leave for sure or not.

My bad I guess I shall name a few for you. Drew Rom to Michigan Dreves to Tennesee Kavanaugh To Kentucky Would those qualify as big enough schools? That's go along with teammates who played with them who are now at schools you listed and also nku. Seems to me that a pretty high level talent to have together on a high school team.

So I assume you feel like Covcath has the most talented baseball players every season then compared to the rest of the 9th region? Or now since Highlands lost 11 to 0 to a coach who apparently can't coach baseball in today's age as some have stated. Does that means Highlands coach needs to be gone now too, and can't coach in today's age of baseball? Because he just lost 11 to 0 with D1 players against a coach who apparently isn't very good...

During their dominant run the last 3 years they have plenty. Including some on the current team. Before their run started Beechwood had some very high level players too. Hence why I said those teams over the last 10 years. Covcath has had good solid talented clubs but not the top talent like their basketball and football teams have had recently. The first post started with Covcath has the top crop of male athletes in nky, which is true....

I am more confident in Washington being back than Vanderbilt. I can see Vanderbilt impressing a lot of folks like Diallo did last year. As long as he is healthy he will probably test out at a high level. Washington won't test out well, but Vanderbilt will. In the NBA it's all about potential. So while I think he will be back. I do think he possibly could get a few good enough reviews to where he may go.

Covcath is talented, but has their talent over the last 10 years been superior to other teams in the region? I don't think so. Can someone name a year where you can say for a fact they were the most talented team in the region and came up short? It seems to me the most talented has been either Highlands and Beechwood over the last 10 years and can just look at the top players they have sent to big colleges. So I am not sure what exactly...

I actually like the schedule they have. However I am not going to make a prediction until I see who they draft and how they look in the preseason. I know preseason doesnt show much. However just like in 2011 there is specific things I am looking for in pre season to determine how I think they will be. With that said they went 7 and 9 last year and they were horrible. The line sucked, Eifert hurt, Dalton struggled, etc. With new coaches, new...

I definitely get what you are saying. However in other sports players have to play while dealing with student sections chanting and saying things non stop. People don't seem to be bothered by that. In baseball you don't see rowdy student sections though lol so usually the chatter from the dug out is the best you can get. So I'm curious why people would feel that shouldn't happen in baseball? I love baseball it was my second favorite sport...

One of those athletes you listed and possibly more. I believe has something that has helped keep him so healthy and physically dominate all these years. But the NBA has always been smart at making sure their stars are protected and not letting things get out to hurt their stars like say baseball did. However that's for a whole other thread. :D

I wish the Bengals would cut Lafell and Michael Johnson and try to get Bryant on a 2 year deal. With that said he seems like a wr that will end up with the Ravens if he doesn't go back to the nfc East.

I don't think be is a shell of his self. The offense shifted a lot the last few years. They became a team focused on running the ball. They also have a qb is more of a conservative qb now than with Romo. Not willing to try to force it in or fit into tight windows as Romo would have. They have a qb who will hand it off or play action and find the TE. Add in injuries and all that has played a part. Depending where he ends up and ends up...

Did you realize Kentucky is one of the worst funded states in the country and now they wanted to cut more. But hey I get it. Also you say teachers didn't propose anything else. Teachers over the last 6 months proposed a few different things to the government on what could be done. You may want to spend some time researching before commenting. Also you may want to spend time looking at numbers. Seeing in terms of teacher pensions. With...

I'm sure he does really want to go. Most kids would want to go if they could go make millions in just a few more months. With that said just because he may want to go, doesn't mean he will. In his mind he may believe he will show out during the draft process. When in reality he probably will find out he would be lucky to even get drafted this year.

Wrong. I can't comment on police and other people's pensions. However teachers pensions was and still is sustainable. The only reason and I repeat the only reason why it fell behind is the state took money from it and promised to pay it back and didn't. If the state never took money from it, it would still be fully funded. In fact as of 2003 it was 125% funded meaning it was even more funded than it needed to be. Which is why the state...

Well that sucks. I thought he made a nice jump from his freshman to sophomore year and if he did that again he could have been a big contributer. I wonder if he knows that Vanderbilt and Gabriel are staying.

Agreed and if any and all of that is not true and it's just a player overexaggerating things. Then that is not fair to the coach that, that rap about him may stay around for years or even cost him his job. So you nor I know the truth. What we do know is somehow things aren't as bad now, and apparently the kid isn't complaining as much. All this coming at the same time that they got outside and he got a chance to prove himself more. It's...

Sounds to me like some people overreacted and took something a kid said as fact. Based off everything said the player had been a starter. New coach comes in and has a clean slate for everyone. Meaning just because you started last year doesn't mean you automatically start this year. You have to earn your spot every day, every year. Sounds like this player maybe wasn't performing that well early with the new coach and others were performing...

Btw you do realize one reason why they allowed sick days to roll over. Giving teachers incentive to be at school even while sick. Saved schools money by not having to pay for a sub. Teachers are around germs all day with 20 to 30 kids who get sick. So teachers must more acceptable to getting sick. Yet this gave teachers more reason to be in even while sick. Not to mention teachers need their sick days when having a baby. It's not like they...
