That's great, that's what a coach should say. However were not coaching those teams. So looking at it, and if you asked what teams you would rather play. I would say most would take the draw Covcath got over some other teams draws.

Agreed! When the ball doesn't move, it's hard for other players to contribute. That's what I been screaming all these years when people cry LeBron needs more help. His offenses are usually iso ball and makes it hard for others to truly get in rhythm. Teams with ball movement are the ones who do the best. Which until this series is what the Warriors were great at.

Compared to a road they could have got. This is the best draw they could have asked for

I'm a big fan of calpreps too. However I think it's way off the mark with its ranking here. If BG is 23. No way should SW be 10th. BG beat SW by 40 and lost a close tight game in the playoffs. To me that seems more like BG probably was the better team except for one day. BG by that is to low and SW to high. I think they are both somewhere in the 11 through 20 range last year.

Not really. As stated yes they beat BG their second crack at them. But they also lost to them by 40. When looking overall at the 10 best in the state. I don't know if South Warren would be in the top 10. Quite honestly BG was probably still the better team, but not on that one day. Covcath was the best team on each day, which is why they are in the conversation though. However we have had other great nky teams who did play tougher schedules.

Not sure where the huh came from. As i stated it could definitely be argued that Covcath maybe never did play a true top 10 team in the state last year. Putting running clocks on everyone was impressive. However at the end of the day, we never did get to see them against the other true top teams in ky. Ryle even showed with their 1st round loss, that they weren't even a top 10 team in the state. This is the same argument I used when people said...

Best Covcath team yes, Best in NKY history? Idk. While you can use the running clock in every team. The running clock for the majority of years was 45 not just 36. Plus it could be argued that Covcath never did actually play or beat a single top 10 team in the state last year.

I would assume whoever they view as their number 1 pitcher. Pitched in the 1st round district game, because that was the game that decided if your season ended or not.

Completely agree. Stevens changed Boston, Kerr changed the Warriors and Pop made the Spurs what they are. Teams who play ad as a true team have the most consistent success. Thats why I think LeBron is his own worst enemy in the never ending need more help cry. He has basically been the GM and coach for his teams the last 8 years. They play like how he wants them to play. Which limits other players from truly stepping up like we see with...

Well considering its pretty well known that he did apply for it two years ago when it was open. I don't think it would be a surprise if he did this time too.

If you mean winning like regional titles you are correct. However in terms of records, Ludlow in bball has done pretty decent in bball. It comes in cycles at a small school. But they have had some good classes and good teams. So while you may not win a regional title at Ludlow. You can put a team together that could compete to have a shot to make the region.

Exactly! James basically has always needed his offenses to be one way. No true big guy. Wants the lane clear, and people just spotted up outside. Very little movement with his teammates and little ball movement besides one pass at most. Which is why his play of his teammates has always been inconsistent. While he may create shots for others. I think it's been shown the best offenses have lots of movement and ball movement. Hence why it seems...

Brad Stevens is amazing. With that said as much as we have heard about LeBron never having enough help. If you put him on this Boston team instead of say Tatum. People would be screaming LeBron doesn't have enough help still. Imo the Cavs have the more talented roster against this injury depleted Celtics. So the whole LeBron needs more help thing shouldn't come up, if the Celtics win it. But yet somehow it would.

Hey if we can add 13 more straight wins to this 6 game winning steak. We will be back to .500 on the year :D Definitely have to like what we are seeing from the young guys pitching lately.

At the end of the day Beechwood has been very fortunate these last two realignments. They were able to barely stay in 1A the last realignment, while it's toughest competition moved up to 2A. Beechwood enrollment wise basically became a 2a team most of these last 4 years playing smaller teams. The tougher competition like a Mayfield was the reason they didn't win a title for so long, and then they were gone too. During these last 4 years...

People tried to say the same thing about Tanner Morgan went he went from Ashland back to Ryle. How huge difference between 1a and 6a and people doubted that he would look as good. Well I think people saw it wasn't a problem at all for him moving to 6A. People seem to forget yes the competition as you said would be better. But have to realize the talent around him then also will be better. I don't think it will be a problem at all for him.

I get what you are saying. But as many have said about Wynard being a waste if a scholarship. People would say the same thing about them to. Also a Darius Miller came here because he knew he be playing right away. Typically a guy that good in Ky wouldn't come here if they don't think they will play for a few years. Hence the recruitment of Tandy currently. So you chance filling two scholarships on guys who may or may not contribute in years...

Well I also wouldn't say offer scholarships just to offer them to have a full roster. I'm sure he had no way of knowing both Baker and Vanderbilt would have basically season ending injuries. With those two they would have been 10 deep last year. Meaning having those other roster spots full with scholarship players just take up scholarships to offer to better players the next year. Like how this year they are trying to bring in a boat load of...

Who are the 3 coaches on staff that may apply for it? Bellevue imo would be a great job to have for any coach. They always field good, tough teams. Also best of luck to Coach McMillen! Great coach, but an even better person.

Maybe. Would depend on who he is surrounded with, how he does, and how the team does. Say he was on this past years team that was the youngest in the country, and he had to play a lot but didn't look great. There would have been a lot of people saying he sucks, he shouldn't be here, this is why they shouldn't get KY kids just because. Just look at Green. He was a McDonalds All American. Every big school in the country was after him. Yet...

Ha oh I get it. My fellow UK fans are crazy. Some new people on here may not even know I am a die hard UK fan, because of how much I argue with some of my fellow crazy UK fans with some of their unrealistic things they say. I just said in a post above. My fellow UK fans basically what Anthony Davis type players who dominate right away but also still 3 to 4 years haha.

Here is the thing. People say they want more guys who stick around. Yet when a player comes here and is not elite as a freshman they say they suck. Just look at this year's team. Green, Diallo, Richards, etc. All freshman all guys who didn't walk onto the floor as freshman and dominate. You had people saying they suck, waste of a scholarship, I hope they leave and we recruit someone better. Well those guys were the guys people wanted. Guys who...

Eh I think at best you would have 3 to 5 dollars only. Which would be 30 to 50 kids people may have said that about. Which out of those 30 to 50. Only 15 to 25 probably would have actually helped.

Cleveland all of a sudden has a good wr core. Running back wise they are solid. It will depend on the o line, since Thomas retired. Cleveland is not far off. Especially if Mayfield ends up being a good qb. Qb has been their biggest problem since they came back to the nfl.

See I don't feel the people around James is as bad as people think. As i have stated on here a few times, I believe it's more of its hard for others to ever get in a rhythm playing with James. James offenses are always the same. Very little movement, no ball movement. It's a one pass offense at most with people standing in a spot. James creates shots for others but people have a hard time getting in the flow of a game with him. That's why every...

He also stated that there was one very reasonable trade offer, but didn't name the team. Would think that may have been the Patriots. A lot still would have had to happen for it to have had happened though.
