It's definitely a good thing they may have hit on this Frazier trade and got a steal in the Simon trade. With them failing basically in their trades of their studs at the time in Cueto and Chapman. The reds would seriously be in a horrible spot if the Frazier and Simon trades didn't work out well.

Huh how does playing against players 7 years younger help you out? Especially since those players 7 years younger never stopped playing baseball like Tebow did for 12 years. Especially with him being 30 playing against guys 7 years younger is not a positive. Just look at the Major League level and how a lot of good older Veteran players are struggling to keep up with the young more powerful arms pitching to them. So I'm not sure where you get...

Agreed! The reds did come out and say they will increase their payroll quite a bit next year. So maybe he is one of the things they were talking about.

Yes! The reds have players who get on base. The reds are one of the top teams in baseball in runs scored. 4th in the NL and top 10 in baseball. So imo they dont need someone else who gets on more and better average. Because while he will never have a good OBP. But When he does get on base he scores. Then on defense he saves runs. So for a team that is top 10 in runs scored but dead last in runs given up. I think it's more important having a...

When a batter is batting over 500 in his career when hitting on a 3 0 count. And you complain that he shouldn't swing, you are going to get backlash. Especially then when you dont say a word about it when another player swings at a 3 0 count. I think we all know Votto isn't perfect, but you seem to go out of your way to make sure any little thing you may not agree with that he does gets said. While completely ignoring other things. We all know...

This is just funny people complain when Votto walks to much. People complain when he swings at a pitch on a hitter's count. Basically lose lose for him with some people. No problem at all with him swinging at a 2 0 count down one run. If they were down 4 then maybe you have a point. However they were one swing away from a tie game with one of the best hitters in baseball over the last 10 years. I am fine with him swinging. I really doubt you...

I know they probably will trade Harvey. But I wish they could keep him. He has really brought some stability to this pitching staff. With the offense of this team being one of the better offenses in the NL. If they get the starting pitching figured out. I feel like this team could truly compete next year. If they go out and say trade Scooter and Harvey. And they miss on those trades. This rebuild could keep going a long time.

Understandable. I like him as a starter. His defense saves runs that we dont even know about. Some of the balls he gets to that look routine for him, may be doubles if it was someone else in center. Plus as mentioned he is still 4th on the team in runs scored even with a low obp. The only ones in front of him have 60 or more at bats than him. On another team that may not be as good offensively I would like him more as a 4th outfielder...

I still dont get the need to trade him. Best center fielder in baseball. The reds are one of the best scoring offenses in the NL. So imo there is no need to get rid of him. It's nice having someone who plays great defense, and then offensively when he does get on base he scores. His on base percentage is horrible. Yet he is 4th on the team in runs scored and onlu a few away from first. The guys in front of him have 60 or more at bats than him....

    2. It's not ignoring that Green called right after. As I stated it was pretty much evenly matched teams. Both teams had 3 stars and the 1st go around the Warriors won when the Cavs other stars were out. The next season the Cavs won in game 7 on an unbelievable shot by Kyrie. Even though the series is probably over in 5 with Green. So yes the Warriors realized they weren't a sure thing to keep winning cause that Cavs trio was good. However you...

What exactly did the Warriors have to be scared about in Lebron being a Laker even before they got Cousins. You act like the Lakers are putting a team around Lebron worth being scared of. When in reality it's most likely going to be you calling these players around him scrubs and needing more help after the Warriors would have beaten him again with or without Cousins. The funniest part for Lebron lovers is when you all say they added Durant...

How quick we forget. I dont remember the Lebron lovers complaining when James started the trend of stars joining other stars in free agency. That one guy as you said felt he needed to join other all stars so he could win a championship. So the whole a team needing all this to beat one guy is funny. Especially when James made his all star squad he lost 2 out of 4 finals. To two teams who didn't have the stars he did. I also dont remember James...

Fair point. However I know if the Bengals weren't close it probably would be by favorite player for me. When Brett Favre played whoever he played for would have easily been my team if it wasnt for the Bengals. But you are its a lot easier to market specific players in the NBA because there is not as many players.

Isn't there going to be less UK players next year than what they just currently had? They now lost both Cousins and Rondo.

Haha wow! I love it! I can't wait to see how they use him in this offense. It's the perfect spot for him coming off this injury. They dont need him to win. So wont have to play heavy minutes, but when in there they have another weapon.

It might not be a great shooting team, but it should be a great passing team with a lot of high level IQ basketball players. I for one have complained that the style James likes to play in is as much to blame for the need more help cries because its not a good system for teammates. So maybe that is now changing. He has a head coach who wants to run the same offense as Golden State, since he was there when Kerr implented it. Now with James,...

Eh yes and no. I feel like it's a lot easier for people in this area or any area where there is no true hometown team to cheer for. To just end up hitching on to a player. However I am like you. In the NBA I cheer for where my favorite player goes to, not a team. However I think if Cincinnati had always had a pro team. They would be my favorite team much like the Bengals and reds, regardless of who my favorite player is.

The west has been stacked for awhile. So many teams who barely make the playoffs in the west. Would have been competing to make the finals the last few years in the east. With that said I hope they dont seed. The playoffs is worth is watching the west teams play each other.

Yes he proved me wrong. I didn't think he would. Just like when he went back to Cleveland not because it was home, but because it was a better situation for him. Since they had Irving and probably knew they would go get Love if he signed. I wonder what he knows for what the Lakers have planned. I dont see him signing unless he knows another star or two will be joining. My guess is Leornard and Cousins.

What someone else said. Fans that go and support the team. Over the last 8 years the reds and Bengals have both had good teams and even in those years the attendance wasnt great. Especially for a city that is suppose to be a "baseball town" Then usually if you listened to people talk even during those good years, you would think the team was in last place those years. Similar how if listened to people around here and on here. Someone would think...

Its seriously funny all the things people try to find to complain about with him. Top 10 hitter in baseball for like 10 straight years. The dude has been top 3 in baseball in getting on baseball for 10 straight years. Which means he is not getting out. He does tell after a strike out. But you go to a high school game you will hear a player yell like that, same in college. Now I do care about the high school player yelling that. However I don't...

I don't get on the reds threads much. But I swear no matter what reds thread I am in. I would think Votto was by far the worst player on the team. Because its always something he did wrong or I should say something someone thinks he did wrong. If I didn't watch the games, I seriously would think he was the worst on the team and not one of the best in baseball and one of the better players to ever play for the reds.

Does Kemba ever get in a true rhythm enough to create his own shots playing with Lebron? With Uconn he was the guy. Where he is currently he is the guy with the ball. With Cleveland he wouldn't be. So does his ability to create his own shots and make them still as good once playing with Lebron? Most people they struggle once with Lebron, if they were use to being the man dominating the ball with their teams.

Doubtful. Love was a top 10 player before playing with James. Kemba not even that. Love only started looking not as good once with James. Which I posted a link awhile back. That showed the majority of players who have played with James in their career played worst when with James. Put love elsewhere and he looks a lot better. Put Kemba with James, and Kemba then looks worst. The reason why it's always James needs more help is because James is so...

Kemba only looks better than everyone else on the Cavs because he is the guy where he is at, and not playing with Lebron like James current teammates. If he goes and joins Lebron he wont look as good, and the whole cries of Lebron needs more help begins again. Shoot Love was a top 10 player in the NBA before joining Lebron. He might not even be considered a top 30 player anymore. Yet I bet if Love was elsewhere Love would quickly look like a...

Maybe. However I think a lot of kids will also see how Balls antics may truly cost his two younger brothers. So they probably wont want their dads doing that. I wouldn't be surprised soon to see a possible argument between the younger brothers and their father. LiAngelo didn't get drafted and apparently he thought he would at least be with the Lakers summer team and was told no to that too. I think the younger Ball brothers are going to see...
