At the end of the day there are many teams with lots of losses this year. So when it comes down to teams at the end who can be on the bubble. Even with just one win. Their resume when stacked against other teams on the bubble wouldn't be close imo. A team with a top 25 rpi, top 5 schedule, in a top 3 conference, they would be in imo.

Cal said it on his show on Monday. That during his time at UK if you pay attention that usually the next game after a team plays UK, they lose. Because each team gets so up to play UK, that they naturally have a let down the next game. Which is something he said he believes helps his UK teams come tournament time. Because they spend all season playing teams who go all out against them. That it's nothing new to them once they get to the big...

UK as long as they win one more will be in the tournament. With so many teams losing a lot of games this year. UK with a top 5 strength of schedule, a top 25 rpi most likely to end the year even with only one more win. Will get them in the tournament. Even after this 4 game losing streak most people were not considering UK as a bubble team. This win today almost locks a spot up as long as they don't lose the rest (knock on wood). What UK...

When I saw this thread. I thought it was going to be about UK needing to have more students down and around the floor. To make it more of a home court advantage. Because besides for it being a big gym, it's really not even probably in the top 25 when it comes to how tough of an environment it is.

Only if they don't go out and sign a certain amount of free agents on their own for a certain price. It's a weird formula they use to set that.

I have no idea if he will be special either. I never said he was. In fact I think him and Dalton are similar in both will need a lot around him to do well. I was just pointing out that I liked what I seen from him in bigger situations than what I have seen from Dalton. The moment didn't seem to big for him like it seems for Dalton imo. Which he did that with less experience. So I would have loved to see what he could have done as the starter for...

We have 7 years of data on Dalton in prime time and playoff games. I guess maybe we see different things. However with Dalton in those games he has struggled. In those games he seems overwhelmed and even seems to press and ends up not really making any plays. Even in 2015 Daltons best season his two losses before the injury were prime time games. McCarron in his second career start on the road on Monday night with the 2 seed on the line...

That very well could be true. However it's the same I say to people who say Dalton is better. We don't know either way. People look at 4 starts while having zero experience or even a training camp with 1st string and assume that is as good as he ever looked. When imo he looked very Dalton like. Besides for 2015 Dalton, how McCarron looked was very Dalton like. Except McCarron actually seemed more poise in the big games than Dalton has in big...

Eh trust me no matter how possibly bad a supporting cast McCarron may end up with. If he doesn't do well people will say see that's why Dalton was the starter lol.

Same here except he is going to end up with the Browns or someone like that. So he may look bad and people would be like see that's why Dalton was the starter. When McCarron won't be getting to throw to a Green every game like Dalton has had in his career. I thought McCarron would do well here. However to hard to tell how be will do elsewhere.

Good luck to McCarron. Depending where he ends up where determine how he does. Obviously I thought he could do well with the personnel he would have had with him here. However it will be interesting what he has to work with wherever he ends up.

I'm pretty sure there is only 3 signed. Knox will be gone, SGA will be gone, Wynard will transfer imo, and one of not both Diallo or Vanderbilt will leave. I do think Green obviuosly, Richards, and Washington will be back.

A guy that they expected to have that hurts not having is Baker. He was suppose to be that Lamb type three point threat that this team needs drastically. Next year they should be very solid at guard and should be able to shoot with Green, Quickley, Baker, Johnson, and Herro. I think Alexander leaves and Diallo because his stock will go down more next year with all these guards. The key will be the front court, if Vanderbilt stays that would be...

Not even close to regressing. This team is ten times better on the defensive end than they were to start the year. The biggest difference is now playing other good teams in true road games. Then also just not knowing how to finish. They had This game played right like it needed to be played for 35 minutes. If this game was played earlier in the season we lose by 20 plus at Auburn without it ever even being close in the game.

Let me be the first to say I was wrong, since I been saying they would win for the last week. They simply still haven't learned how to finish a game. They kept their poise for about 35 minutes tonight which is better, but you have to do that for 40 minutes to win games especially against good teams. Now they need to get a win just to get things straighten out some.

Yep at this point I wish Briscoe would have stayed and Diallo would have left. Briscoe couldn't shoot either, but at least could get in the lane to create, could rebound and play defense.

Sloppy with turnovers. Happy with the way they made plays though to stop Auburn from stretching it to double figures. I like where they are.

All good points. However take Alexander and Knox for example. This year you possibly could get them in the middle or late 1st round. If you wait and say they do start consistently dominating as you say their sophomore or junior years. Then they are no longer going mid to late 1st. They are now top 10 or top 5. So now they would be out of reach for most teams. Hence why teams may draft on potential and hope that player develops into that player...

Honestly I completely forgot about the cheating on his wife part. So yeah that is not good at all. As for cheating the game. I think we have learned and started to see that all coaches and or programs seems to cheat in some way or another. Doesn't make it right, but also not something that I think just him.

It's a very valid excuse especially during the season. Hence why we have seen teams like the 2011 and 2014 team after looking bad most of the year. Finally all of a sudden get it because they went through and experienced it all and learned from it. It took those teams all year to get it. 2010, 2012, 2015 obviously picked it up sooner. Sometimes it just takes time. Especially now with this being the youngest group he ever had. It literally...

It shouldn't quit holding water because it is a very true and reasonable excuse. For all the people who say it shouldn't be an excuse. As I keep pointing out just look at the greatest coach ever in Coach K and how he is doing with a lot of freshman. Coach K has the most talented team in the country, and the very top freshman and yet he can't get them to play defense. Even though he at least has some upper classman including a starting senior....

I said last week I liked UK's chances against Auburn. UK matches up well with Auburn. Auburn likes to speed things up and play fast like WVU. As we seen I think that fast pace actually helps get UK in more of a rhythm in a game. So I just see this is a game that UK comes out and gets a much needed win.
