They were just fine against the run the first two games. The running game Carolina uses since they have Newton. Is not a type of running game they will see the rest of the regular season.

It did have that as a weakness. However they also said it was listed as a weakness because Preston Brown and Burfict weren't playing. Which it is true, if those two are not playing. Then Linebacker is the weak spot.

If stating what NFL people have said about the Bengals means I am drinking the Kool-Aid sure. However it seems like you are letting personal negative past bias effect your reality of the situation. Like it or not when people talk about the Bengals 1 through 53 roster. They refer to the Bengals as having one of the most talented 1 through 53 roster's in the NFL this season. That's not me talking, that's me being able to use listening...

People don't watch for the QB's. People watch for the game of football, and they know injuries is part of it. The popularity of the NFL didn't go down the year Tom Brady tore his ACL and missed the season. The same when Peyton Manning had his neck injury while still with the Colts. The NFL was still king of the sports world by far even when their star QB's got hurt.

That's simply just the old narrative you are still going with. When you listen to nfl people around the league. The majority of nfl people say from top to bottom 1 to 53 the Bengals have one of the most talented rosters in the nfl. In this case it was just an example of a bad matchup for the Bengals. The Bengals struggle with athletic qbs. Probably because playing in the north they are use to traditional drop back qbs. Hence why both times...

The nfl has seemed to do just fine and became the most popular sport even when qbs were allowed to get hit. Shoot injuries to qbs have also led to some of the best qbs of all time getting chances that they may not have ever got it the starting qb didnt get hurt. An injury to star QB at the time Drew Bledsoe. Led to the eventual best QB of all time Tom Brady getting a chance. If it wasnt for that who knows it Brady ever gets a chance with the...

It's very simple the reason the NFL has gotten soft is because of its former players. This all started with former players sueing because of head injuries, etc. It set the NFL on a path where it needs to protect itself in all areas. Meaning they have to show they are doing everything possible to make the game safe as possible. Hence the rules when hitting a receiver, hitting the QB, the new helmet rule this year. This whole movement of...

Completely agree. I have no complaints about Dalton, even after 4 interceptions. He does seem like a different qb so far, and I like it! I do think Ross tried to fight for that first interception. But it was 3rd and 15 and Dalton was trying to make a play. With Dalton looking like he is right now. I am very confident in this team no matter how they do next week.

I dont think it's a bad sign. Its just the NFL. Browns won this week. The Bill's had the biggest upset in over 20 years in regards to the spread of a game. The Lions who haven't looked good at all, and players complaining about the new coach. Go out and dominate the Patriots. The titans beat the Jags. I don't think it was a bad sign at all. It's just the NFL. Winning in the NFL is hard. I think the Bengals are in good shape. I think most...

Ugh Bullock has been reliable since he has been here. However we never have a kicker who seems like they can make it from more than 50 yards. Most teams have that these days, and is a nice weapon to have.

The NFL is a crazy league. Bengals are making the Panthers offense look unstoppable. While now the Buffalo Bills are putting it on Minnesota. You just can never assume anything in this league.

Hmmm doesnt winning the east basically mean your competing nationally at least this year? To win the east they most likely will have to beat Georgia. Who is one of the favorites to be in the playoff. Say even if UK loses to Texas A&M and then beats Georgia to win the east. That means UK is playing in the SEC title game with the playoffs on the line most likely. So this year I do think winning in the East and competing Nationally go hand and...

I think it's hard to say a qb played well the first 2 games. When he had a completion percentage in the 30s in that Pittsburgh game. He did make a big time throw to Gordon to tie it up. But neither of you mentioned the interception he threw at the end of the 4th quarter when they were driving and had a chance to win it in regulation. Absolutely zero reason to throw the pass he threw, and then under threw it at that. Not to mention the Browns...

OSU fans dont care about what people think about strength of conferences though lol. Nice win by Purdue. Did the qb who played high school in Kentucky, still play for Purdue?

Its because Notre Dame wants to make the playoffs. They have no room for error, and currently their weak spot was qb. The defense is good, running game good. Qb play was not. When you watched the team with Wimbush at qb, they didn't look like a top 10 team. With Book they look like a top 10 team. Book won them some big games last year too, including the bowl game against LSU last year. Book should have been the starter to start the year. ...

Eh I wouldn't go so far as to say Kings or Beechwood is better than Butler. Imo CovCath is experiencing what Beechwood has experienced during this last realignment. Beechwood couldn't win titles when Mayfield was still 1A. People started even saying will Beechwood ever go back to being what they were? Well it took the top teams leaving 1A, for them to get back to that. Yet if those top teams like Mayfield never left, what would people feel...

Well based on how we all have seen Dalton most of his career struggle and really press in big moments under the lights or against good teams (hopefully that may be changing this year finally). While I feel Baker lives for those moments under the spot light. I could be completely wrong and maybe Baker will struggle in those moments too. I just feel mindset rise he is more willing to step up, when Dalton most of his career seems to press in those...

Baker no doubt is going to have his rookie moments. He probably will have a game or two where he throws 3 or 4 picks in a game. He definitely is not afraid to let it rip. So teams will adjust and give him things he hasn't seen before. So there will be games like this where he stands out and he will have games where he looks like a mess. However they have given him talent to throw to. So unlike other rookies like a Dak. I think we will see...
