Not even close. That 2011 team had a pretty good defense but besides Eifert on offense not much.

It seemed like a week where a lot of top teams struggled. Much like that UCF team struggled to beat Memphis. When UCF played Pitt they were probably very motivated since that is one their few games against a power 5 team to try to prove themselves. While Notre Dame just came off of two straight games of beating ranked teams and probably wasnt as focused. Top teams do have bad weeks sometimes against teams they shouldn't. The key is still winning...

I dont think you can talk about o line issues and then say the qb may not be what people thought. If there is o line issues then that plays a role in him not looking as great this year.

At the end of the day they still lost. He has been a head coach two years now, so hard to put him as elite yet imo. As much as people dont like Brian Kelly. His resume is still up there as one of the best in the country. Especially if he gets Notre Dame to the playoffs this year. He literally was a field goal away from having UC in the title game. He did get Notre Dame once to the title game and a chance to make the playoffs again. Like it or...

I question why Kirby Smart is listed as an elite coach already? If you put him there then Brian Kelly needs to be too. He took one team already to a National Champuonship game. He was a Texas missed field goal away from taking UC to the National Championship game, and in position to take Notre Dame to the playoffs this year. So I'm good with people if they dont think he is an elite coach. However if they dont think he is. Then its way to...

Overrated based on what? Their dismantling of a Michigan team who will beat OSU this year? Their beat down of Stanford? Their beat down of Virginia Tech in Virginia Tech. Which is one of the toughest environments at night much like being at Penn State. This was the first game since they changed qbs that they struggled some and still won. They didnt lose to a mediocre team like some teams did this weekend and they definitely didnt get blown...

I'm no OSU or Michigan fan. However Michigan will be a tough game. Michigans defense is legit. I even made a bet a few weeks ago with one of the OSU fans on here, that this is the year Michigan beats them.

While I dont think you all will slow down Bamas offense. I dont think Bamas defense is that great this year and they will struggle to stop you all too if that game were to happen. I like OSUs chances much more this year against Bama than any of the previous years when JT was starting. I see Bama struggling slowing OSU down, much like the Cardale year.

I will give you OSU fans credit. You all are very smart with what you all been saying this year. I dont believe for a second you all dont like your chances against Bama. You all know you will be in the playoffs, unless I am right about the Michigan game. So by talking up Bama even more. It allows great bragging rights if or a built an excuse. If OSU wins it all and beats Bama, you all will talk up OSU because they beat the great Bama. If they...

Basically agree with all the above. Especially the 4th and 1 decision to punt. Be aggressive Marvin! Even when being aggressive doesnt work like when it didnt earlier this season and people complained. I still would rather Marvin be aggresive every single time. Defensively I think it's fair to start questioning the new DC. The Bengals defense last year with a horrible offense and always having to be on the field looked better last year than...

You dont have to go back to watch it. Pittsburgh scored with 10 seconds left. So if the penalty was called, it would have still been 10 seconds left. Time doesnt get put back on, and they would have been 10 yards further back.

And guarntee you most of the same people screaming they left to much time. Would still be screaming that with 58 seconds left and 3 timeouts left for the Steelers and Steelers kick a 51 yarder for the win.

Once again Steelers would have had time for one play and one play only if they call the opi. And so basically your only beef with the Bengals last touchdown drive is one play? Ok then.

Well it's not really all logic and sense. He said even if the call the the offensive pass interference, they still kick the field goal. Well nope because that's a 10 yard penalty and out of field goal range. So Steelers would have had time for one play with 10 seconds left to get in field goal range. Also not much logic in saying they managed the clock wrong that last drive. There was nothing they should have done different on that last...

Which they did once they got to the 10. Rememebr they went from the 34 to the 11 yard line on the 23 yard pass to Green, and they then took their time. Once again nothing about that last drive was wrong or should have been done differently. Except for hoping the Steeleers tackle them at the one, instead of Mixon scoring.

I get it Pittsburgh was in field goal range. But it was going to be a long field goal. You haven't brought the house all day. Why do it there?

Eh plenty of times Marvin manages the clock completely wrong. However, yes they left to much time. However how else would you have wanted them to handle that last drive? At what point do you think they should have something different? I mean they even ran a running play from the 4 in an attempt to make sure the clock keeps running. Do you want them to tell Mixon not to score? I dont think they mishandled the clock at all. There was nothing...

Man reading some post on here. If I wasnt watching this game. I would assume the Steelers are dominating the Bengals. People saying the Bengals are scared and all that. As for me I am very pleased with the first half. Didnt play their best with some dropped passes and Steelers having to make amazing catches and yet the game is tied at half. Plus the Bengals get the ball after half. Great spot for the Bengals to be in.

I was not at this game, but I am a Ludlow graduate. So obviously I understand maybe not liking Beechwood. However based off what I read in the update thread. I have no problem and see no problem with Beechwood trying to score again before half after the interception with a minute left. At that point Beechwood had a punt return for a td and a pick 6. So the offense had only scored 21 points and not on field much. It's not a running clock yet,...

From what I heard it was a defensive game. With both teams having less than 50 yards total offense in the first half. Yet the score was 14 to 6 at half due to turnovers by both teams on their own sides of the field. Then was more of the same in the second half. Cooper apparently drove down 60 yards to the 10 at the end of the game, but a holding penalty set them back and Beechwood stopped them and then ran out the clock.

Agreed. That is why honestly I think it will be after the bye week. That's if they don't put him on IR before then, depending how it is after they re-evaluate him. If I'm the Bengals I honestly in the draft next year look for best tackle available when they pick, best guard, or even best center when they pick in 1st round. Price can easily be moved to guard if they have a chance at another top rated center.

Antonio Brown said it in his post game comments after Burfict got laid out with a concussion. I'm just hoping Burfict keeps his head on, and doesn't go for that revenge hit on JuJu. If he does it legally then fine, but they need to win this game. Can't get baited into helping the Steelers in anyway. Which Big Ben had some interesting quotes again yesterday. I always love it how the Steelers players always act like it's only the Bengals...

Is Hicks healthy and back at QB for Conner? If so I think this game is a toss up and could go either way. Also any word if England plays this week for Ryle?

Last week they said he still needed 2 more weeks in a boot and then have it reevaluated again. So we should know more after next week. My guess the earliest will be the Tampa Bay game. If not definitely should be back after the Bye.

Yeah that game definitely got even tougher than it already has been. One positive note is the Bengals can really change their perception the next 2 weeks. I think a lot of people see the Bengals at 4 and 1 and are more like yeah I didn't expect that. However they are still the same old Bengals and won't do anything when it counts. If the Bengals can get the Steelers monkey off their back this week. And then possibly go into Kansas City on...

A playoff featuring teams like Notre Dame, Ohio State, Bama, and then either Georgia or Clemson. Has to have the NCAA licking their chops for the money that will come with both attendance and tv ratings.

Very possible that happens. However Dre has been starting at right corner for about 4 years now, and AB still hasnt really done to much against them in relation to how he does against everyone else. With that said that may mean he is due to tear it up.
