Dillon imo was better than both. However those two will get in before Dillon though. If Dillon played for anyone else I think everyone else's opinion of him would be so different. He wasn't even in his prime anymore when he finally had a qb that didn't allow teams to always have 8 men in the box and he ended up running for 1600 yards leading the nfl.

They just allowed a bad Bengals offense and a bad Ravens offense to do really well against their defense. The Patriots offense will probably eat them alive again. So they will need for their big 3 to continue tearing it up to have a chance. At the moment the Patriots are to the Steelers. As the Steelers are to the Bengals. Just can't beat them.

I would say yes because when teams played the Bengals. Teams knew he was the only one who could beat them, since they had no passing game or even receivers. They seen what he was capable of by setting 2 individual game records. His one record came against the number one rush defense in the league in the Broncos. So teams knew he could single handily beat you. So just focus on him and don't let him loose and you win.

Honestly I'm glad they didn't fire him. The last thing I want to see is them go with an Interm coach the rest of the year and somehow do well in the last 3 games. Where they decide to keep that guy as the coach instead. Wait to the Monday after the season ends and clear house completely with all coaches.

I always love when people act like just someone doesn't think they are doomed and flat out terrible that means they are drinking the kool aid. You all realize all the bad Bengal years can also make you all not look at this team realistically. Same thing back in 2011, 2012. People said I was drinking the kool aid and they would be horrible. I'm just a optimist blah, blah, blah. Well basically everyone ended up being wrong and they were better...

Marvin is gone either way this time imo. Plus if people want to hold true to their narrative that Brown only cares about making money. Then if that is true that is even more reason for people to know Marvin is gone. If he only cares about making money. Even the best decision to make money is getting rid of Marvin. Depending on who they hire will determine if it's half empty stadium or not all next year.

Fair enough. I agree to disagree. Mayfield work ethic seems to be ten times as high as Johnny Manziels ever was. Plus a more developed passer. That's why I don't see him as Johnny M. Plus he is older and performed at this high level for 3 years not just 2.

That is an old washed up narrative. While the Bengals haven't done much with their playoff appearances. Until the last 2 years. The Bengals were only one of 5 teams in the whole nfl to make the playoffs 6 out of 7 years. The Bengals were competitive and had a chance and just failed in those opportunities. So many people got use to that narrative during the 90s and early 2000s it's easy to just fall back to that. The fact of the matter is the...

Besides from that sideline play last week. I haven't seen any problem with him tackling.

I didn't realize Tyrod was a top qb coming out of college. Mariotta has been up and down, but about to have a team in the playoffs. Manziel was always a partier. Mayfield worked himself on to two D1 schools as a walk on. So work ethic and confidence is there. Manziel made a lot of plays by running around and throwing jump balls up to Evans. Mayfield is ten times a much more developed passer than Manziel.

Disagree on the problems being much deeper than just Marvin and the o line. I also I have loved what i have seen so far in William Jackson as far as a cover corner. I think he is going to turn into a legit shut down corner. As for John Ross well we all have zero idea on him. Watching his highlights from college, it's easy to see why he was a first round pick. Him getting healthy and using him right is key. Now as for who they hire. You are...

I hope they do the next 3 weeks. Get a top 5 pick to go with a new coach.

That's nothing new. Since Dalton has been the qb. The Bengals are great usually against teams with losing records, and suck against teams with winning records.

Bengals. Basically every time I like is because of my dad. I grew up watching or in the Bengals case listening to them since they were blacked out so much in the 90s lol.

Well I got the Baker Mayfield winning part right. However I don't know how Jackson didn't finish at least second.

Curious on why you think neither? We have seen similar qbs of Mayfields size and even attitude do well in Brees, Wilson and Favre.

Neither is Tom Brady. But just because Tyrod Taylor is capable of running one in from 70 yards out doesn't mean he is better than Brady does it? Weak argument lol

Even with that excuse and every team keying on him. He still ran for more yards than current hall of fame running backs. Terrell Davis really had no reason to be in the hall of fame then. Dillon career was even better than his. I'm pointing out that yes he very well should be considered then.

Dillon did produce. Every team knew to stop the Bengals you just need to stop him. There was not a time he didn't have 8 and even 9 men in the box to run against. While Faulk played with 2 hall of fame qbs. Who also did just fine without him.

It doesn't need a complete makeover though. Needs a new coach, focus on the o line this off season and they can win starting next year. Imo they also need a new qb, but people don't want me saying that anymore lol.

Put it this way if Dillon would have played for almost any other team. I doubt you would be able to say Dillon isn't in the same class as Faulk. Imo Dillon would have been known as the best back in the NFL if not for who he played for. You put Dillon on the team's Faulk played for. Dillon is already in the Hall of Fame. Put Faulk on the team's Dillon played for and he probably doesn't even do as well as Dillon did for horrible Bengal teams.

Can't really use that in a discussion. Considering most teams with losing records have poor attendance at this time of the year.

On a positive note. No reason to think they win any of the last 3 games. So great chance to a top 5 pick and a new coach.

So now you want to go to personal attacks? Ok then. You're better than that. 6 defensive starters out. Their best 2 linebackers. The defense was going to be a struggle today and even with that they only gave up 12 points in the first half. If they quit as early as you said it would have been a blowout in the first half. The offense had to have a good day today and they didn't. Using the offense as a reason to show they quit is weak....

It's the offense. 6 defensive starters were out. Was easy seeing the defensive was going to struggle. The offense like most of the year though did nothing to help out.
