Honestly I would love that. Two first round picks to get lineman. See what you have in McCarron, which you could afford to franchise him since you don't have Daltons contract. Then get Baker Mayfield who I am a big fan of. I love qbs with energy and leadership. Which is why I like McCarron and Mayfield.

They are one of the best franchises in football. With that said it doesn't mean their assistant coaches automatically would be good head coaches. Especially when that assistant has had Rodgers and Favre around. Not to mention an offensive minded head coach. Let's see how he does with Rodgers out and maybe I'll change my mind. I have no idea how you can say I wouldn't want a new face for the Bengals. I have said multiple times since 2013 I...

Depends. At that point if I could trade Dalton and get say a first round pick for him. Then I probably take a qb in the first round, because i would then still have a first round pick from the Dalton trade to take a lineman in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd rounds. I honestly probably would try to keep McCarron if possible too and let him start out. But I doubt he would stay at that point. Now if I can't get a first round for Dalton. Then I still...

The defense has gotten younger and is a top 10 defense in the NFL. Offensively they have good skill guys. Imo the only spots player wise they need to start fresh at is the line and qb. Everyone knows my thoughts on the qb spot with Dalton. So need to waste more of peoples time on that.

I did read it and once again no thank you. As for Tomlin he joined one of the best franchises in football and was coming off a super bowl win, and had a future hall of fame qb waiting for him once he got there. Give me someone younger with energy, who is going to be aggressive. Then when you add in having head coaching experience too. That is why I like Josh Mcdaniels.

Agreed. I think he would take an interview with the Bengals. However it probably would depend on exactly how much freedom Mike Brown would say he would agree to give him. Such as his staff, and being able to get his own guys. Specifically his own offensive line coach!!!

No thanks. I don't want a guy who has only been a coordinator for a few years, and with that. His head coach is an offensive guy who is use to calling the plays, so obviously he has a lot of input on the offense still. So I don't think I would the Bengals to be his first stop completely on his own running everything.

Josh McDaniels is who I have wanted for a long time. I want someone who does have some previous head coaching experience. I also want someone who is more of an offensive guy. I am done with this whole ultra conservative mindset that we have seen for all these years. I also want someone who has shown he can run many different systems to fit whatever personnel they have. McDaniels fits all those molds. Plus at the end of the day, I do think he...

Can't really argue much of that. Except for the part that said Burfict isn't really a good player. Burifct does stupid stuff that gets himself in trouble. However he definitely is a very good player. However all this extra stuff he does, doesn't allow people to see that. All they see is his extra stuff. Other than that he is right on. I think the Bengals have accepted they won't beat the Steelers. It comes from lack of leadership from coach...

And I disagree with that. I am mad at Urban Meyer for going to OSU and giving you all a voice again. Just like UK basketball fans, Osu football fans are the most irritating by far.

Well coaching is a part of a teams success. Not Penn States fault OSU coaching may not have done well. I guess I could use that excuse every year for Notre Dame. They are the best team in the country if it wasn't for coaching. Or coaches calling this play, or not giving the ball to this guy enough, etc. I mean i get it. You think OSU will win. However you do a good job setting yourself up well to come off well either way. If OSU wins that...

Eh hard to say considering the beat down OSU took in the playoff. Hard to say it was just an off day against Penn St and not that Penn St. Was just better. I do love osu fans. You all are smart though. You set yourselves up well win or lose. You win and you talk about how great a win it was against a great team. But if you lose, you say well we said all along Penn St. Was great.

There is nothing to explain. Dalton simply doesn't get it. He did that earlier this year too. He is not prepared for big moments or to deal with adversity in a game. He just plays it conservative and gives up. Dalton is a clone of Lewis. Ultra conservative, doesn't know how to do things once things go bad.

Imo the Bengals are kind of doing it right. They missed their window originally and got old and bad at spots. So they basically did a rebuild while also trying to compete. They added good talented youth to the defense. A very talented running back, and hopefully a good speed compliment to Green if Ross can end up being anything. Yes that kind of came at the expense of the line. However they did have to get better in a lot of spots and I feel...

I know I literally just said the only reason the line was because of Whit and Zeitler because of how high they ranked at their spots. Which is why saying they ranked as 13th as a line last yeat is misleading because it makes it sound like the line as whole was good, when it in fact was not. Two guys being ranked higher is what helped make their average 13th. The line last year as a whole sucked. It was not a good pass blocking line. Any line...

People are acting like the line was good last year. The line was very bad last year. Gave up a lot of pressures and sacks, and wasn't good run blocking. Yet people wanted them to overspend for a 36 year old, and give 50 million to a guard who obviously is not helping the Browns. So yes they are good, but the line was going to be bad this year still even with those two. Plus with it being a weak draft for lineman, it would have been wasted money...

They gave up one of the most sacks last year in the league didn't they? They also still sucked at running the ball last year didn't they? So while yes Whitworth and Zeitler graded out well at their spots and why as a line they graded out well because of Whitworth and Zeitler grading out so well. The line as a whole gave up constant pressure last year and couldn't run the ball. So once again if the Bengals did pay both of them and they looked...

Here is what I don't get. People are acting like them letting Whit and Zeitler go is the reason the line stinks. Do people forget the Bengals were one of the worst lines in football last season and Whit and Zeitler played every down. So people think they are dumb for not spending a lot of money on two guys that obviuisly last year didn't help the line be any better either. While then also limiting their ability to sign anyone else or extend...

Probably live it just looked like a guy kicking his legs to get a guy off him, which happens a lot. However when we see the replay it's obvious he did kick at him.

Agreed, but also the team who's qb didn't throw two interceptions without pressure won. Also the team who doesn't have a qb who throws the ball out of bounds on their last shot, won.

A liability? Besides this one play, what other play this year did he do something that stood out? Also as Romo mentioned it may not even been his fault. He stepped up to the middle first expecting Fisher to slide out to block that guy, and by the time he saw Fisher blocked down instead, Dupree already had him beat. With that said I am willing to let him get that experience with learning how to block even if he does struggle. If that means he...

Agreed. Defense didn't play well in the first half, and seemed to get confused on a few plays and didn't tackle. Second half I thought they played really well. Especially with how bad the offense was.

Quite honestly as I said I can't guarntee that McCarron would do well. However I do think he would bring more leadership to the position. Also possibly be able to handle pressure situations better, and hold guys more accountable like lineman not blocking. I have no idea how we haven't seen Dalton just go off on his line yet. Dalton is great when things are going well. However he just continues down the hill once things start going down hill....

While it was another stupid decision by him, because he has to know every little thing he does will be seen. I honestly don't think they will suspend him. It will end up being a fine.

As I said a few times it is time to start looking at the OL coach. The game has changed some and I don't know if he has adjusted well to it. There is no reason why they should have missed on those lineman. Either he is evaluating them wrong or he is not coaching them up well.

Mixon got what one touch in the second half? Make Mixon the main guy and be done with it.
